Chapter 40 (Part One)

The doctor's expression was still very serious, and his forehead was covered with sweat, as if he was

Layton's ward, was the parent of Anthony.

Nicole remembered that when she was making a record in the police station, the crying classmate told
her that Layton was hit by a car on the road while chasing after Anthony. A group of people reported
the case to the police, which called 991 to send the injured students to the nearby People Hospital.
Therefore, not only Layton but also Anthony lived here.

According to the tone of the 5 students, Anthony was more seriously injured than Layton. Anthony was

fainted on the side of the road.

Because of guilt and fear of scolding, Nicole didn't dare to look at the student from a distance.
Suddenly, a nurse pushed out a seriously injured student from the ward and walked towards the
elevator. Anthony's family members followed them all the way, and about 10 people there, wiping their
tears and crying.

Nicole was very worried. After Anthony left, Nicole pulled a nurse passing by and asked, "Hello, I want

that it was a group fight between middle school students. He was stabbed two times, almost in the vital
parts of his body. Our hospital can't save him. Their parents are going to send him to the senior
hospital."

her head and didn't say anything. After a long time, she said, "Thank you!"

The nurse left.



Nicole was scared. On the one hand, she was scared; on the other hand, she was being questioned by
her conscience. Nicole walked slowly to the empty ward No. 701. Looking at the empty and quiet room,
she thought of the child lying in bed in pain and unconscious, and the parents' crying expressions.

Judge another person's feelings by her own, Nicole was even angrier than Lena because Lena
