up all night just because of this?”



Ben pursed his lips.

Looking at his worried face, she continued, “Your dad and I just had a fight before, but he knows he
was wrong now, and we made up.” To avoid hurting her son’s feelings, she had to put it delicately.

“Absolutely,” Theresa assured him. “If you don’t believe me, I’ll have him come over tomorrow morning

“Good,” she said, patting his hand. “So just go to sleep now. You can see if he comes here tomorrow.
