Volume 1 Chapter 50 - Happy New Year!

Leng Jiu glanced at the brother and sister. “I can’t come over every day. Since I’m free today, there’s something I need to discuss with you!”
She led them into the house and gestured for them to sit down before asking Mo Zhai, “Has your martial arts recovered?”
Mo Zhai nodded, “More than seventy percent.”
Leng Jiu took out a stack of papers. “Take a look at this.”
Mo Zhai took it and read it carefully. At first, he was puzzled, then he was shocked!
Leng Jiu said calmly, “I need to establish a force, but my identity doesn’t allow me to stay here for long periods, so this task needs to be handed over to you. Although the training methods on these papers won’t immediately turn them into martial arts masters, if someone can endure two months of training, they will be more useful than any martial arts master!”
“So, from now on, you must gather suitable people. The best candidates are beggars and refugees, as well as those who are outcasts or have no way out, regardless of gender. As long as they have the determination and are willing to sign a life-and-death contract, they can be recruited. I will try to come personally to train them when I can. In two months, you’ll see the results.”
Mo Zhai put away the stack of papers and nodded solemnly. “Alright! I’ll start looking for people in the next couple of days!”
Mo Yina also said, “I’ll help my brother!”
“Don’t think you have nothing to do!” Leng Jiu gave her a cool look. “Do you know how to dance and play instruments?”
Mo Yina nodded quickly, eager to be involved. “I can play the morin khuur and the guzheng. Dancing is my specialty!”
“That’s good! Soon, a large entertainment venue will open in the capital. I want you to enter as a prairie songstress.”
“A songstress?” Mo Yina was taken aback.
Mo Zhai’s face darkened, but he didn’t take a strong stance. He simply asked, “Why?”
Leng Jiu lightly tapped her index finger on the table. “The rise of a power relies not only on its own strength but also on a good intelligence network. The best place to gather information is in an entertainment venue. This place is still under construction, and once it’s finished, it will need to recruit talents from all over. It’s like a blank sheet of paper waiting to be colored, making it the best time to infiltrate. I only trust you two, so Mo Yina must be the first to enter. Then, after your training is complete, I’ll personally select suitable people to help Mo Yina gradually improve this intelligence network.”
Mo Yina looked conflicted. “But that place…”
Leng Jiu smiled. “Aren’t people from the prairie the most open-minded? I’m asking you to perform, not sell yourself. What are you afraid of? Besides, you need to know that the intelligence network is the most crucial part. It determines the strength of this force and directly affects how soon you can return to the prairie for revenge. Are you sure you don’t want to go?”
Mo Yina glanced at Mo Zhai and finally nodded firmly. “I’ll go!”
Mo Zhai looked at Leng Jiu with steady eyes. “How can you be sure they will hire Yina?”
Leng Jiu raised an eyebrow. “If I told you that the place was designed by me and half of it is my property, would that reassure you a bit?”
Mo Zhai and Mo Yina exchanged a surprised look, but then they returned to calmness. Leng Jiu was no ordinary person, so this wasn’t particularly shocking.
Seeing they were reassured, Leng Jiu patted Mo Yina’s shoulder. “Come! While I still have time, let me train you a bit!”
“Train?”
Leng Jiu raised an eyebrow. “What do you think that place is? Or do you think you can just dance and have men flocking to you, climbing to high positions?”
Mo Yina blushed. “This… but…”
“If you can’t even overcome your own shyness, then I’ll consider replacing you. I don’t expect someone who can’t conquer themselves to conquer others!” Leng Jiu’s voice was devoid of emotion.
Mo Yina bit her lip. “I’ll try my best!”
Mo Zhai felt he shouldn’t be there, so he turned to leave, but Leng Jiu called him back. “You need to stay here and watch!”
Mo Zhai had no choice but to sit down, and he heard Leng Jiu say to Mo Yina, “Now! Take off your clothes!”
“What?” Mo Yina’s mouth dropped open in disbelief. She glanced at Mo Zhai, who sat there like a wooden statue. “But brother is still here!”
Leng Jiu lazily propped her head on her hand. “There are only the three of us in this room. If you don’t dare to undress in such a situation, how can you handle yourself with ease under the scrutiny of many? You must know that beauty is a woman’s greatest weapon. In such a place, the more boldly alluring a woman is, the more she can attract attention and make men willingly fall for her!”
Mo Yina’s face turned bright red, then she looked as if she were facing death as she began to undress.
“Enough!” Mo Zhai grabbed her hand, stopping her from undressing. He looked at Leng Jiu with some anger. “Is there no other way? She is a princess! How can she engage in such vulgar acts?”
“Vulgar?” Leng Jiu stood up, lifting a strand of hair to her chest and brushing her fingers across her eyes. Instantly, her clear, cold eyes turned into seductive, narrow phoenix eyes. With just a simple movement, she appeared incredibly lazy and elegant, making it impossible to look away.
Leng Jiu slowly walked towards Mo Zhai, her eyes never leaving his for a moment. She placed her hand on his shoulder, letting it slide down to his chest. Then she stood on tiptoe, her lips as red as rose petals brushing against his cold, thin lips. She bit him gently, the act filled with ambiguous intimacy. “Do you call this vulgar?”
As Leng Jiu’s voice faded, Mo Zhai snapped back to reality, shoving her away forcefully and taking several steps back. His face was icy, but his heaving chest betrayed his emotions.
Seeing this, Leng Jiu withdrew her seductive demeanor, her eyes returning to their clear state. She said coolly, “If I had wanted to kill you just now, Mo Zhai, do you think you could have escaped?”
Mo Zhai’s face looked grim.
Leng Jiu glanced at Mo Yina, who looked as if she could fit an egg in her mouth, and then back at Mo Zhai. “This is the consequence of underestimating someone. Besides, I want Mo Yina to learn not to use her beauty to entertain others but to protect her life. If she can’t let go in such a place and doesn’t have the skills to navigate it, it’s like sending her into a tiger’s den!”
“One last thing!” Leng Jiu’s eyes turned cold. “From today on, there’s no prince or princess here. If you want to reclaim your pride, then prove it. Don’t talk to me about status. Also, I hope this is the last time I hear such words from you.”
Mo Zhai left with a sullen face. Mo Yina tugged on Leng Jiu’s sleeve. “Don’t blame my brother; he’s just worried about me!”
“Worry is one thing, but some things require a certain level of awareness. Otherwise, he will never achieve great things!” Sighing, she asked, “So? Do you still want to learn?”
Mo Yina nodded with a flushed face. “I’ll learn!” Then she sneaked closer, her face full of curiosity and excitement. “You actually kissed my brother just now. It’s the first time I’ve seen a girl kiss him. My brother used to hate being touched by girls, but just now, he blushed when you kissed him. I’m so impressed with you, so I must learn!”
Leng Jiu twitched her eyelids, speechless. “Just for this?”
Mo Yina nodded enthusiastically. “Just for this, I must learn!”
Leng Jiu twitched again. Well, so be it.
