Nina was relieved to hear that. She responded with a smile and said, “I’ll leave this to you then. I’ll
consider becoming your girlfriend once you’ve completed the investigation.”

Stephen frowned. “You don’t need to feel obliged to be with me. I’m willing to take up the mission and
expect nothing in return! I don’t want you to be with me just because you feel you need to repay my
kindness. I believe you’ll see what a good man I am if we spend more time together.”

“I’m not going to agree to be your girlfriend just because you’ve offered to help find out Chris’ cause of
death. I’m willing to commit myself to this relationship because I think you’re a nice man!”
