Chapter 1501 Chapter 1494: Hegemon: Sacred Elven Queen (4)

The Void Nestling Realm was a location of manifested and chaotic information of the past, present, and future without order or direction. Strangely enough, this translated to its 'potential' area being as fictitiously infinite as one could imagine, limited only by possibilities that manifest within. However, this seemingly infinite space was enveloped entirely by the laws that govern the heavens, imposed by a grand authority. The entire Void Nestling Realm was stabilized and its growth of space was thereby limited.
Wei Wuyin was the holder of this authority, and with a single thought, all the existing space outside of the carved-out portion of the Void Nestling Realm vanished into shimmering and dissipating light. This left only the single carved-out portion of space to be the only existing area of the Void Nestling Realm while the outside was a mess of temporal energies and essences without any ability to manifest shape or form, lacking direction or targets.
"...!" The area that housed that hidden existence produced a soft exclamation of surprise that resounded throughout the world. A shadowy silhouette of theirs was exposed. Their silhouette formed a single hand-seal that was foreign to Wei Wuyin, seemingly channeling power in a way that even he had never experienced in two lives.
Their first move was brilliant and incomparably swift, invoking an external void power that seized their body, producing millions of ripples in space and time. They were on the verge of being taken out. On the verge of escaping! The storm of temporal chaos behind them pulsed as a stormy portal of inky black spatial darkness formed that led to an unknown point in space.
"Void Power?" Wei Wuyin's thoughts were verbally spoken as his brows slightly furrowed with disdain and his blood unleashed a roaring blast of Draconic Void Force. The external force was immediately severed. Along with it was the inky black spatial darkness that formed a stormy portal of temporal chaos, leading to an unknown void.
The next move of the concealed silhouette was equally as brilliant and demonstrated a calmness that startled even Wei Wuyin. They stomped down with their left foot as two one-handed hand-seals were pressed toward the ground.
UHMMMM!
A strange sound erupted from around Wei Wuyin as the trees all began to emit an iridescent, blinding light that could stir the soul and shock the mind. They began to rapidly grow, almost doubling their size instantly. The power of several elemental forces resonated within the limited space, the chaotic time, and potentially a force far beyond the Mortal Dao, touching upon the Three Thousand Realms of the Heavens, creating additional chaos that was too abrupt and too swift for Wei Wuyin to react to.
Wei Wuyin's eyes widened slightly as he realized his Second Mind's theory was likely correct, and these trees were designed to connect to the Elemental Laws using a method similar to the Edict of the Sage utilized by Heavenly Saints and those beyond! However, this type of connection was far more profound and genuine than the connection established by Heavenly Saints. Those at the Heavenly Saint Phase of the Mystic Ascendant Realm could only make gargantuan sacrifices to establish Artificial Edicts of the Sage, far weaker than the real thing.
This type of evocation of the Three Thousand Realms to establish a Heavenly Resonance link to obtain the qualification for a Seed of Law was far, far from ordinary. While he couldn't fully grasp the intricate benefits provided by this method of growing a tree like these using a method like this, he had an assumption that each tree might be a Seed of Law itself or a foundation of one, needing only to invoke the heavens to bestow a structure of the real thing and then...
To put it simply and plainly, this type of method might be able to instantaneously realize a Minor Authority of a Law!
Unfortunately, Wei Wuyin was not distracted by the forceful summoning of this great opportunity. His silver eyes transformed into a mass of pure whiteness, containing the origin of all things, the essence of genesis, and the law of unity.
Minor Authority of Origin!
Without warning, each tree's unique resonance faded away and they reverted to their original states.
Wei Wuyin was briefly distracted by this, but that was enough for the silhouette to perform a few things. The most obvious was the summoning of the stormy portal of inky black darkness that swallowed their shadowy silhouette in almost an instant.
They vanished as the portal closed, winked out of existence as all remnant evidence of its existence was eradicated. This would normally cause any type of Void Treasure or Spatial Art to lose track of where this portal led to, but how could Wei Wuyin, a True Void Dragon with Minor Law of Space and Time, not know with a single glance?
Wei Wuyin frowned deeply as he looked away from that location and stared at the trees of elemental forces. The forceful activation of the tree had killed every last elf there. Moreover, their souls were infused with the tree itself, providing the greatest type of nourishment that was on par with Soul Light. After all, Soul Light was generated by the soul, so the soul itself was simply far greater in terms of quality regardless of one's cultivation base.
"Segregate."
Wei Wuyin commanded as the aura of the Minor Imperial Law flowed into the trees. While he couldn't extract the souls of each elf, he could segregate their True Souls with a single command. Typically, only those who've reached the True Soul Phase of the Mystic Ascendant Realm could interact with souls on the level of their True Souls, the souls that are sent to Hell, at least to some extent, but Laws were of the heavens, and authority over them granted minor control over souls too-again, to an extent.
The True Souls were wisps of indistinct light without any color to his senses, unlike the typical cyan color used to define spirits and souls. At the very least, the color they possessed wasn't something Wei Wuyin's Existential Mortal Framework had the right to discern. Despite all his power and means, there were limitations that only a higher cultivation could solve.
Wei Wuyin wouldn't exert Temporal Reversion on these True Souls. "I'll help rebuild each of your bodies and give you normal lives." While he wasn't a saint by any stretch of the imagination, and he wasn't responsible for their lives or deaths, he felt that doing this little was sufficient to ease any crisis of consciousness of Qing Qiumu brought about by Survivor Syndrome.
He wasn't doing it for them.
He was doing it for her.
Seeing her sleeping face that was so defenseless and so peaceful, he recalled the roaring, explosive pain from the memories of his alternate self after receiving verification of Qing Qiumu's death. There was a saying in the world of cultivation and the world of mortals echoed from the heart: "You don't know what you've got till it's gone."
But Wei Wuyin didn't like that, because as he recalled all those brief yet warm memories he had with Qing Qiumu, memories that shone through cloudy days, he knew what he had...he just never thought he'd lose it. Those memories turned into a dusky darkness of pain and regret.
At the very least, he wanted to minimize her mental trauma to never lose that warm feeling.
"Enter."
Kree!
Bai Lin opened her mouth and sucked in the millions of souls.
Wei Wuyin commanded again, his expression turned a tad bit pale as the True Souls flew into Bai Lin's mouth. With her Nirvanic Flames, she could initiate a type of pseudo-rebirth for each of them thanks to her Unique Intent. It'll take a while but they definitely shouldn't be complaining.
Using the Minor Imperial Law several times in a row was not an easy feat for his Mortal Soul, regardless of his strength. If not for his Stellar Paragon Physique's peerless recovery abilities, he would be limited to only a few uses before suffering very serious consequences. However, the Stellar Paragon Physique was truly a marvelous foundation even in its earliest stages, allowing him to perform feats far beyond the limitations of his cultivation base.
Within a few breaths, his pale complexion returned to its healthy shade. Bai Lin had already left the tree, flying to the ground in a flash.
ROAR!
Suddenly, Wei Wuyin's body erupted with Draconic Void Force in vast quantities, gushing out into the carved-out space of the Void Nestling Realm, penetrating the depths of its ground, and enveloping the entirety of its boundaries. It seemed he was ready to relocate these trees.
After doing so, Wei Wuyin let loose a short, grey-colored misty breath of void energy. "You should have escaped when you had the chance," he coldly uttered.
Wei Wuyin clenched his jaw slightly and the space and flow of time before him distorted. With a flash of grey brilliance and a shriek of shock, a figure tumbled out of the air.
A tall, slender woman of beauty that exceeded mortal comprehension appeared. She was dreamlike and unreal, like an immortal fairy-the genuine article! There was an explicit youthfulness in her eyes, complexion, and figure, especially her slim waist, unquestionably proud and perky chest, and incredible hips leading to an even prouder, rounder rump.
The woman was dressed in a graceful set of pristine white robes that exuded a misty light tinged with golden flecks, her sharply-pointed ears had seven adornments of jewelry-three gorgeous gems of varying colors on her left and four on her right, and her clear eyes were pure and untainted by the slightest turbidity of the mortal world.
Her initial temperament seemed dignified to an extreme, serene yet supremely transcendent. Despite being dragged out suddenly, the woman immediately stabilized herself in an upright position and her eyes were without fear. In fact, only curiosity was present as those pupils reflected Wei Wuyin's image in its entirety.
Her first words were like immortal music, alluring to the soul and ensuring to the heart, but there was no additional enhancement of any spell or Intent, purely natural, and yet they completely took Wei Wuyin aback.
"Are you my lover?"
However, Wei Wuyin's reply took the woman by surprise even more.
"Who knows," Wei Wuyin was utterly indifferent as Bai Lin opened her mouth.
Kree!
With a clarion cry, she unleashed a surge of scarlet-gold Nirvanic Flames and instantly enveloped the woman. Despite being engulfed, the woman's gaze never once left Wei Wuyin's face. Her incredibly clear gaze was focused as she burned into less than ash.
"..." Wei Wuyin closed his eyes as seven-colored light flashed wildly about at the edges. After a long while, he opened them and sighed.
"A Worldly Avatar?" Wei Wuyin couldn't discern any memories or mental fluctuations from this woman, so she was certainly fake. He thought it could be a golem of sorts. However, after slaying it, he realized it was like a Worldly Avatar. It bore an extremely strong resemblance to The World's Avatar he had met during his Realm World Astral Tribulation. Although Wei Wuyin had slain that Avatar, the true body was entirely unharmed yet likely fully aware.
"Is she dead?" Bai Lin's killing urge had been sated temporarily. She didn't know who this woman was, but Wei Wuyin had ordered her to incinerate her entirely, and so she did.
"Unlikely," Wei Wuyin answered. "Was that the Sacred Elven Queen? She had some faint resemblance to Jiang Feilan, but so did most female elves. Her depictions in the history records were too far off. It's like comparing white clouds to stinky mud." Wei Wuyin didn't quite know what to make of this situation, but her words suggested something interesting.
Despite that difference, he had felt an extremely lethal threat the moment she opened her mouth. He hadn't felt any Intent, Law, or Mystic Power, but the threat was enough to stimulate his Eye of Truth and all four of his Astral Souls to assess an impending calamity. This suggested that even the World itself was only made aware of his calamity just then, and there was no active warning from the Heavenly Daos or Bloodline of Sin, so it was likely spontaneously formed the moment she spoke. Only after Bai Lin acted with extreme prejudice did it vanish.
What other cards did she have to play? He didn't know, but the more he delved into the subject of the Sacred Elven Queen, the less he felt he knew.
Looking at slumbering Qing Qiumu in his arms, he couldn't resist the urge originating from his soul to smile.
At the very least, she was alive.
-----
In a battlefield of brutal slaughter and bloody screams, an elven woman with silky black hair and a willowy figure clashed fiercely with three Celestial cultivators at the Starlord Phase with only weapons and no flourish of world-shattering forces. The clashes of metal were extremely apparent and she was stable in her offense and defense, only mildly sweating.
Within a few vicious exchanges, an opening revealed itself and a Starlord lost their head with a single swing. The shift in the fight was enough to bring about great change. The two Celestials fought valiantly yet they met their end, one with their heart stabbed and the other with a sword plunged into their eye socket.
She had claimed victory against her opponents.
At this time, her eyes brightened as she looked down. Her gaze was indistinct and uncertain.
"Jiang Feilan!" A woman shouted as an explosive arrow flew toward her, blocking a ferociously large Celestial that was barreling toward Jiang Feilan with a large double-bladed axe stained with the blood of humans and titans.
Then, and only then, did the elf look up and rejoin the battle.
However, a faint smile of joy danced on her lips as she did.
