Despite what he said, Jack had already realized in his heart that this wonderful change was not
metaphysical at all.
It had to be something to do with Charlie, but he didn’t want to reveal their relationship just yet.
Although he had been a skeptic when it came to metaphysics, since Charlie had saved his life, he had
come to believe in it and was even in awe of it.
As a detective, he was highly sensitive to all kinds of information.
Even though Charlie had not disclosed the mystery of the villa to him, in a phone call before he had
arrived, Charlie had specifically instructed him to ensure that the elderly couple lived in this particular
villa and stayed there for as long as possible.
