“My girlfriend is angry, so of course, I have to rush back to coax her, lest someone steals her away from
me…”

Nicole felt ashamed. He really came back because of her. “I’m not angry…” She explained in a low voice.

Suddenly, Clayton’s stomach growled. Nicole froze. “You’re hungry?” Clayton smiled, embarrassed. “I
had a full day of meetings yesterday and didn’t eat anything, and I didn’t have an appetite when I was on
the plane last night…” Nicole was nervous and hurriedly pulled his hand to go inside. “Why didn’t you say
so earlier? You couId’ve come in earlier and gotten Mr. Anderson to make you breakfast!” Clayton
dragged her back and laughed helplessly.

“I’m here to admit my mistake, not to get a free meal. You didn’t even forgive me yet, so I couldn’t just go
in and make you even angrier.”
