Chapter 568: A Pink Villa – 1

In the meantime, at the coast of Myanmar.
After Ye Jiu and the people from the International Crime Unit came out of a hotel, the 4th division brought him to the coast area.
He followed their instruction and got on a boat. Nobody knew why, but perhaps he did not have a good sleep last night, there were dark circles around his eyes.
Both captains were waiting for him by the shore.
The captain of the 4th division opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but not sure if he should say it out or not. In the end, he decided to voice out his concern as he said, “If we want to recruit Fu Zhi, wouldn’t she be not happy with it if she learns that we take Ye Jiu away for an in vivo research?”
“I think it should be fine,” the captain of the 5th division answered as he lit up a cigarette. The mask on the man’s face glinted coldly in the smoke as the last sunray shone on it before it was covered up by the rising clouds.
“Everything in this world has a price to pay. It’s exactly because they have failed multiple times that a successful specimen like Fu Zhi could be born. Besides, which experiments don’t require sacrifices? Fu Zhi is a smart person, and she should know better than we do that Ye Jiu is nothing but a failed product purchased by a buyer. What we’re doing now is just recycling someone else’s unwanted trash to get the most value out of it.”
The captain of the 4th division still looked worried.
He might not be that apprehensive if he hadn’t seen how Fu Zhi beat Matthew up, but right now, he had no idea why but he did not have a good feeling about this mission.
The members of the International Crime Unit were moving the medical equipment and medicines.
Suddenly, just when the captain of the 5th division took a look at his watch, a black kitten fell from the sky and swooshed past both of them. It claws flashed out as it charged towards the ship.
Ye Jiu took a step to the side and avoided the kitten’s attack by a hair width.
The kitten mewled after it missed its target as it stared at Ye Jiu with its pair of golden eyes. In the next second, its gold eyes shot out from their sockets towards Ye Jiu’s heart.
“Watch out!” The captain of the 4th division shouted.
Before Ye Jiu could do anything, he felt a strong tug from his back.
A fair, thin arm grabbed Ye Jiu by his collar and pulled him backward.
The incoming person was wearing black spandex. Her face was covered with a golden mask marked with the Country M’s royal crest, and only her beautiful blue eyes and bright red lips could be seen.
She pinned Ye Jiu on the mask of the ship by grabbing his neck and began sizing him up.
“So the second generation failed subject of China DNA splicing technology can’t even handle a mechanical cat?” She said, her eyes filled with compassion.
Ye Jiu could taste blood in his throat. He tried his best to break himself free from the woman’s clutches but to no avail.
The woman admired his struggle for a moment, and she only let him go after the captain of the 4th division arrived.
“You’re worried that I would kill him?”
The captain of the 4th division stared at the woman in front of him warily. “We agreed to work with Country M’s royal family on in vivo research for one requirement. That’s you guys must not harm Ye Jiu or do something against his will.”
“You’ve misunderstood,” the woman said as she picked the mechanical cat up from the ground. “I was born for love and peace. My fathers who created me has set up a program inside of me. I’m not allowed to harm humans, and Ye Jiu, with everything considered, is still a human.”
Ye Jiu’s pupil constricted. He jerked his head up and stared at the woman in disbelief.
He seemed as if he was digesting what she was trying to say.
“You’ve been genetically modified, right?” He asked.
The woman looked at Ye Jiu pitifully. “Everything that is born from genetic modification and DNA splicing technology is just a technically flawed thing developed by backward countries. That’s why your organs are failing. I’m different from you. My fathers and my country have endowed me with perfection in the true sense of the word. I embodied all of the hard work and resource packages from every genius in Country M. My life will not end, and I am a being closest to God.”
Resource package and endless life. It sounds tempting, but it’s not really human.
Compared to Ye Jiu, the two captains were not shocked as if they already knew about the woman’s existence a long time ago.
“Do you have any other questions? If no…” The woman put the kitten on the ground and turned around to the Country M’s personnel behind her, “Get all the medical equipment and operating table ready. The operation will start in another 30 minutes.”
After that, she jumped out of the ship and disappeared from everyone’s vision.
“Are you alright?” The captain of the 4th division approached Ye Jiu. When he saw the welt around Ye Jiu’s neck, he asked, “Do you need to apply some ointment?”
Ye Jiu lifted his hand to grab his neck and shook his head. He looked in the direction where the woman disappeared and asked, “Is she the android created by Country M’s royal family?”
The captain of the 4th division fell silent for a moment before nodding.
He shouldn’t tell Ye Jiu about this, for this was a secret mission that even the captain of the 1st division did not know about.
It was just that Ye Jiu was going to die soon.
Therefore, he said, “As early as when we started our research on the first generation of genetically modified humans, Country M has begun to prepare the development of android. It’s just that due to the underdevelopment of science and technology at that time, they have been running into a blank wall. It’s only last year that they made a breakthrough, and Aurora was born.”
Country M’s research was as difficult as their research. It was just that Country M’s research was more time-consuming and they only managed to make an advancement last year.
However, they did not have much information about this woman. All they knew was that she was claimed to be even more perfect than Fu Zhi and the others. She was born to fight for her country, and she was an existence that most closely resembled the Western gods.
When the captain of the 4th division was carrying out a mission in Country M last year, he had seen with his own eyes how terrifying the fighting power of the woman who had been fitted with a fighting resource package was.
She had gone beyond what belongs to the human perception of power.
The captain of the 4th division felt it was not fair for Country M to compare this woman to Fu Zhi.
After all, no matter how strong Fu Zhi was, there was no way she could defeat an android that resembled a biological weapon.
Besides, Fu Zhi was already 17 years old this year.
The reason she could learn something faster than other people and she had superior strength was due to the genes she got from her parents.
However, the genetic makeup of a human could not be changed anymore. It was different from the android developed by Country M’s royal family.
An android was a robot. In other words, they could update it along with the development of technology, and for each update, Aurora would become even stronger.
Initially, the gap between Fu Zhi and Aurora might not be big, but time could prove that Country M’s research on android was more sophisticated and advanced than the research in their country.
