Chapter 579: Song Fang’s Opening Dance – 2

The teacher then said, “Hurry up, then. Don’t forget to come back after you’re done.”
Mu Chenxi nodded. She shared a glance with the group of girls and together, they went away.
“Are you sure nothing would happen?” A girl asked.
“You have decided to transfer to another school, so what’s the point of caring about the evaluation of this school? Moreover, we’re all good students, and the reason we don’t want to join the cheerleading squad is that we don’t want to affect our performance in our studies. I don’t think the school will punish us for trying to get good grades. Also, have you forgotten we all are having diarrhea?” A hint of darkness crossed Mu Chenxi’s eyes.
She turned around. When she saw that the group of girls was still hesitating, she went up to hold one of their hands and said, “Alright, let’s stop worrying about it. Pack your things up. I’m going to treat you guys to a meal.”

Mu Chenxi and the group of girls left afterward. In the meantime, Director Liu was coming to the end of his speech.
“Fu Zhi is the most excellent student in our school and she deserves to be taken as an example. I also hope that you all can get excellent results in your college entrance exam and step into the hall of Qinghua University together with Fu Zhi!”
A round of applause erupted in the crowd.
Meanwhile, Su Xing was helping a girl in the team to tidy up her clothes. Just when she turned her head around, she was stunned.
Mu Chenxi and a group of girls were gone. She remained dumbfounded for a few minutes straight before she realized what was going on. She grabbed a girl from her class and asked, “Where are Mu Chenxi and the others?”
“I heard they said they’re having diarrhea, so I think they should be at the restroom right now.”
“Diarrhea? All of them?” Su Xing pressed on.
The girl was not sure about it as well. “Yes. They said they had a hotpot yesterday. What’s wrong?”
Su Xing did not reply to the girl. She went to the side and made a call to Mu Chenxi.
However, nobody answered her call.
She continued to call her several times before the call finally connected.
“Yes?” She said, her voice lazy.
Su Xing took a deep breath and said, “Where are you guys? The performance is about to start!”
“We? We’re not feeling well, so I guess we can do the performance already,” Mu Chenxi replied, her eyes filled with amusement, “I’m sorry, Su Xing. We can’t help you to welcome a murderer.”
“Mu Chenxi! I know what you’re doing! Don’t you think you’ve gone overboard this time? This is a major event that’s very important to our school! How can you be so selfish?!”
“Selfish? I’m selfish? Don’t you dare say that to me, Su Xing. We agreed to practice the dance, but we didn’t say that we’re going to perform the dance to Fu Zhi.”
She paused for a moment before continuing, “I remember you guys have made Fu Zhi the captain of the cheerleading squad, right? Since this entire farce is all about her, you can ask her to dance for herself. After all, she’s an attention-seeker, and I’m sure she’s more than willing to do it.”
Then, she hung up the call without waiting for Su Xing to say anything.
The rest of the members from the cheerleading squad frown. Even though they did not hear the whole conversation, they could basically grasp what was going on judging from Su Xing’s face.
“Let’s us change our formation… We are…” Before Su Xing could finish her sentence, Director Liu shouted, “Well, let’s welcome the cheerleading squad of our school with a round of applause! Teachers, students, professors, friends from the media and press, look—”
Director Liu pointed to the back.
There were only 5 of them left, and Director Liu was stunned.
‘What’s going on?’
Su Xing did not know what she should do right now.
She had sent a text message to Song Fang, but he had not replied to her yet. That said, she had to do something about it, so she brought the remaining team members up to the stage.
Director Liu took a few quick steps up to Su Xing and asked, “What the hell is going on, Su Xing? Where are the others?”
Pitching her voice low, Su Xing replied, “This is all we’ve got, Director Liu. We just need to try our best not to let the reporters find out anything.”
Director Liu clenched his fist tight and walked into the team, “I’ll be your sixth member. Let’s go! Let’s go!”
“Are you sure about it, Director Liu?” Su Xing asked.
“I’m a fan of the girl group “202”, so I know how to dance as well.”
Su Xing did not know what to say, and the rest of the team looked at Director Liu speechlessly.
“What are you guys still waiting for? Hurry! Hurry!”
A murmur began to spread over the crowd below the stage.
“What’s going on? Where are Mu Chenxi and the others?”
“Oh, my good lord! What’s Director Liu doing in a group of girls? This is so embarrassing!”
“Director Liu is going to dance as well? But where are the others? I remember there are 12 of them, but there are only 7 of them left. What’s going on?”
“I saw Mu Chenxi and the others ran away when Director Liu was speaking. Could it be that Mu Chenxi did it on purpose?”
“This is impossible. There are seven of them, and there’s no way Mu Chenxi could bring them all away. We better don’t jump to the gun so fast.”
“Have you forgotten that Mu Chenxi is not on good terms with Fu Zhi? I’m sure this is her doing. I just don’t know what the hell is she thinking. There are so many reporters here, does she want to make No.1 High School look bad in front of so many cameras?”

Fu Zhi and Ye Jiu noticed the commotion as well.
Ye Jiu squinted his eyes, and he soon understood everything. Just when he zipped his shirt, Fu Zhi turned her head sideways and asked, “What do you think you’re doing?”
“Wait here for me. I’m going to perform a breakdance to welcome you.”
“That’s not necessary…” Fu Zhi replied.
“It’s okay, honey,” Ye Jiu said as he put his hand on Fu Zhi’s cheek, “Although I know you won’t kill everyone when I die, I’m willing to make myself a fool in front of everyone for you.”
“You should stop reading novels. They are poisoning your mind,” Fu Zhi said.
At the same time, Mu Chenxi had contacted another group of reporters. She couldn’t wait to see Fu Zhi and No.1 High School make themselves laughingstocks in the city.
The reporters and He Ming’s expression changed.
He Ming’s face was dark as he listened to the discussion from the students around him.
This was a serious matter. This welcoming event was held for Fu Zhi, and if this matter was not handled properly, it would put Fu Zhi in a bad situation.
A reporter then asked, “It seems to me that most of the members in the cheerleading squad are from the senior year. Senior year students should focus on their studies, so I wonder is this a special arrangement, or the students refuses to come on stage to perform because they’re not happy with the school’s arrangement?”
Director Liu was someone who had gone through a lot in his life, so it was a piece of cake for him to tackle this kind of situation. “We will give an explanation regarding this issue afterward, so we won’t answer your question right now.”
“Why you don’t want to answer my question right now? Do you think it’s reasonable and suitable to force all the students in the school to put their studies aside and come out to welcome a student?” The reporter pressed on.
Director Liu frowned.
