Splendor Immortal Palace consisted of more than a hundred buildings built upon a mountain shrouded in fog and mist. It looked sturdy enough to be the spine of the world.
The individual palace was made from an unknown material, making it impossible to date them accurately. From a distance, this was the so-called land of immortals in the tales of mortals.
At the pinnacle, one palace released immortal particles downward. From the base, it looked as if it wasn’t part of this world and resembled a star. Anyone could see it regardless of their location in the region.
Within were incredible treasures; any of them could be the case of a bloody conflict in Sin. The three dynasties most likely didn’t have anything of a similar level.
They were in full display, enough to cause emperors and desolate gods to falter to greed.
Among them was a horn, looking special at first sight. No one had a clue which divine beast could have grown this. It could be used as the highest-grade material for crafting. Its holy affinity put emperors and desolates gods to shame, making them want to repent for past sins and join the light. Darkness had no place to hide. Just a tiny piece of the horn was enough to purify all the darkness in Sin.
Next to it was a sphere constantly morphing. It was made out of round particles; their synchronized movements changed the shape and size of the sphere. It seemed capable of becoming larger than Sin itself or too small to be seen by a heavenly gaze. It could certainly be transformed into countless weapons but this wasn’t its key property. The more discerning cultivators would note a strand of aura lingering around the sphere. It appeared indistinct and feeble yet wielded the property of everlastingness. One breath could free its master from the mortal coil and ascend to the immortal world.
Some would call this immortal energy. It only had a single strand but this was more important than anything else including the sphere itself.
The next treasure was a gauntlet made from the rare eternity metal. Wielding the gauntlet was akin to grasping time. It had six embedded stones - red, yellow, blue, white, violet… They were one of a kind, finding a second stone was impossible. In the ruby one was boundless vitality. Another contained space and the third contained time…
The attackers waiting outside salivated while gazing at the treasures. One was enough to turn them into an emperor or even a primal ancestor.
Not to mention regular cultivators, the big shots such as Buddha Ghost and Winged-serpent Devil Saint were no exception.
“That’s a horn from a unicorn.” One desolate god said: “No one had seen a unicorn before but this is proof of their existence.”
“I’m more interested in that sphere, an item that has accompanied an immortal long enough to gain a special strand of aura.” Another observed the transforming sphere and said: “It helps break bottlenecks and gives insight into everlasting life.”
The sphere itself couldn’t compare to the unicorn’s horn. However, the strand of aura contained the secret of an immortal, potentially starting a new path.
“That gauntlet was crafted by Splendor Monarch himself, a higher grade than primal weapons.” One emperor said.
Splendor Monarch gathered the treasures in the palace, only the gauntlet was created by him.
