Chapter 81 (Clare)

Clare pushed the lady, and an invisible force field shot through her hand like a gust of wind, being
released from her inner self. The lady went flying through the air but landed on her feet. Clare’s body
felt numb and she encountered a sharp pain on the side of her stomach, “AAAH, AAAH.”

The bedroom door flew open, she saw what looked like a demon, but it wasn’t, it was a guider. Similar
to the bird she has seen on her arrival at the realms, except this one seemed evil, like different, its
wings darker and beak harsher.

The lady who was a few feet away from the guider grabbed something from her belt and shoved it into
the birds’ mouth. The guider squirmed, and Clare saw it attempting to fly in the room, but somebody
was holding a chain around its neck.

The bird continued to flap its wings, but the person behind it grabbed harder. The guider’s stomach
underneath it started protruding, it seemed like it was burning from the inside out until it splattered
everywhere.

Clare just managed to block her face with her hands. She peaked after it exploded and saw the lady
had taken cover under a blue force field. The lady had her knees facing the floor, she continued staring
at Clare.

Clare started feeling dizzy and her vision began to blur, but What she was seeing, the man who stood
in front of her, was he real? or was it a delusion, she tried focusing her eyes.

The blonde hair, the big eyes, standing in front of her, the same height, the familiar light powdery blue
eyes. The difference about him was the grey leathered outfit, maybe she was losing her mind, she was
drugged, it couldn’t have been him, it just couldn't be

Phillip.

She tried to get her voice heard, but the words were lost, her vocals muted, all she could hear was the
familiarity of his tone as he spoke.

“Clare,” she could hear him speaking, “Clare, Clare,” her name. He swept her off her feet, lifting her,
even his thick arms were familiar, carrying her, cushioning her head by his neck, his known scent.

She heard other voices in the background, one could have sounded like Nathan, saying something,

“We were compromised, is she alright, at least we all alive.”

She heard Nikolai, “Let me take her, she needs to be healed,”

She felt her body moving, she was being carried by another, her head feeling lighter.

She could hear the people speaking even though her eyes were shut, she heard the young girls voice,
who came from the portal, “Kole, you can’t heal her, you drained, she’ll be fine,”

“Tash, she’s your sister.”

“I will heal her.” She heard Kalbreal say.

The girl replied, “See, Kalbreal will heal her.”

She heard another person, it was the old man from the mirror, he was saying,”Let’s move it, they
come,”

Clare could feel herself drifting through something, a liquid, something similar to the gates of the realm.
She felt a numbing pain pass through her shoulder, she felt like she was dying. The pain was
unbearable. She let herself go, her mind and body ease into a distant sleep.
