gloomy look on his face. Finally lifting up her head to look at him, Meredith stared right into his eyes.”

mom as an excuse and threaten me to take care of that lover of yours, to be your maid, to be tortured
by you, or to be forced to sleep with

For some reason, her words did not sit well with Josiah. He felt somewhat suffocated.

and going against me.”

“Mommy, it’s been such a long time since you came to visit me,” Nia sulked with her lips pursed.
