Chapter 10: Take Them to Court!

After more than a year of absence, Caroline seemed to be slightly fatter than before.She did not wear
any makeup, but her cheeks were fair, and her facial features were still as pure as Aldrich
remembered.

However, she seemed to have an indescribable tenderness.

To his surprise, even his gaze was not filled with hatred as it had been back then.

Instead, it was indifferent, and it caught his attention.

Riane saw that Aldrich was looking at Caroline.

Because of that, her heart began to fill with anger once again.

However, because there were media reporters all over the court, she couldn't explode and let her
emotions control her.

If she did, it would definitely be the end of her career.

She only whispered softly to Aldrich’s ears as she clung to his arm, "Darling, I'm a little scared”

"But this Caroline suddenly came out after a year and a half of her disappearance.I'm afraid that she
has fabricated some evidence to bring us down” Riane leaned timidly against Aldrich’s shoulder.

"You know, I'm a public figure.It's already a headache to be involved in such a thing.I'm really afraid that
she'll spill a dirty image on me.That woman can do anything and it will surely ruin my reputation!"



"Hush, my girl.Don't be afraid.You have me and the Stanley family,'' Aldrich said gently.

"The Stanley Corporation was saved by you back then, so the entire Stanley Corporation will support
you now"

When Riane heard what Aldrich had said, her expression stiffened slightly.

Apart from Caroline, Aldrich's secretary knew about her impersonation, starting from sending many
vulgar pictures of Caroline and Aldrich together, which had caused Charlene to feel guilt and leave her
room.

However, Riane also knew something about Aldrich's secretary, so she had guessed that his secretary
wouldn't confess a thing about her.

Caroline's unexpected appearance, combined with her certainty that she would win, filled her heart with
suspicion.

The judge had declared a hearing, "Both parties’ counsel seems to be present, and the plaintiff's
counsel will speak first? "Your honor, on behalf of my client, I will file a lawsuit against the death of my
client's sister named Charlene Nigel, a year and a half ago” the lawyer said as he took out the
document.

"Here, I have the report of Miss Charlene’s case from the police and some correspondence records at
that time."

Riane uncomfortably sat in the dock with her hand clenched tightly under the table.She was pretty
confident that she used an unknown number on that MMS back then, so no one should be able to trace
it.

Unfortunately, the lawyer announced the number that widened her eyes in shock.



"This number belongs to Miss Riane.When she used this number, she did not use her Caller ID.She
thought that the number was anonymous, but she didn't realized that she had use this number to buy
game coins after she got the number.This game coin was used for the game equipment registered
under her ID card"

With that, he presented the relevant evidence.

Riane's expression instantly changed as if she had fallen into the pool of ice.

But the moment later, her lawyer whispered to her and gave her a hint.

"Even if the other party could confirm that the number was yours, it could only be said that you sent
those messages to Charlene, but it did not mean that Charlene’s death was related to you."

But Riane's heart shattered once more.

Again, it was because the opposing party presented new evidence.

"This is the video of Miss Charlene leaving the hospital where Miss Riane sent those messages" The
plaintiff's lawyer said before playing the video.

A picture of the entrance to the hospital appeared on the big screen.

Caroline sat in the plaintiff's seat and looked at the figure that appeared in the picture.

Immediately, her eyes reddened uncontrollably.

She had seen this scene more than once, and she constantly thought that if she could return to the
past, she would definitely not leave her sister that day, so no matter what Riane said to Charlene, she
would stop her sister from leaving the hospital.
