Chapter 14: A Recording

"Please describe in detail what her orders are." the lawyer asked.

"Usually, she asks me to report President Stanley's schedule and what kind of woman I've seen"

Miss Jackson added, "The other thing is that Miss Caroline raised the money and came to see
President Stanley when the Stanley family was in trouble.Because of Miss Lewis’ previous orders, I told
her about it and she told me to tell President Stanley that she earned the money through hard work."

Hearing this, Aldrich felt a buzzing sound in his ears.

For a moment, he was unable to control his body at all.

"Riane, tell me this isn't true" he said, his eyes turned fiery and locked with Riane's.

Riane's face was filled with panic.

"They're all lying! They're lying! Aldrich, believe me, I would never do such a thing!" She said and
shook her head.

Aldrich knew the truth the moment her expression changed to panic.

He stared blankly at Caroline in the plaintiff's dock.

Coincidentally, she met his gaze when she turned around and her eyes were filled with rage.

Aldrich suddenly had difficulty breathing as if something had blocked his throat.

His chest rose and fell as if he wanted to call her.

Suddenly, plenty of images flashed across his mind.



A few years ago, he fell in love with her at first sight.Her gentleness, her kindness, her eyes were filled
with starlight every time she looked at him.

Afterward, he confessed to her, and she happened to like him, so she accepted his confession and
started dating him.

He was the Stanley Corporation's successor at the time and she was the Nigel Family's eldest young
miss.

They were a perfect match for each other and they expected everything to go smoothly.
