In the morning, the six children, Darius, and Mary showed up in the ward to keep Arissa company.

Arissa asked Tim, “Tim, did you have fun at the gathering with your grandpa last night?”

Tim glanced at her, lowered his head, and responded softly, “Yes. There was a lot of delicious food,
and Grandpa's friends also introduced me to many new dishes.”

On the way there, Darius, Gavin, and the others had briefed Tim to ensure their cover story was
flawless.

Arissa was relieved. Noticing Tim had his head down, she thought he was shy, so she encouraged him,
“You should go out more with your grandpa in the future and get to know more of his friends.”

Tim shot a furtive look at his mother, feeling a little guilty. However, compared to making her worry, he
would rather tell her the white lie.

The kids left after accompanying her to finish her breakfast, but they didn't go to school.

Darius was afraid a kidnapping incident like yesterday would happen again, so he brought them back to
the Old Manor.

Arissa didn't sense anything amiss. Benjamin didn't go to the company and stayed with her as usual in
the hospital.

Later in the day, Shaun came to give her an infusion.

Not long after, Arissa drifted off to sleep.

When Ethen came to deliver documents to Benjamin, he reported the work progress to the latter in the
corridor.

“Mr. Graham, how should we handle the situation now?” Ethen sought Benjamin's advice in an
undertone.

Benjamin narrowed his eyes. “How are they doing now?”

“They were just sent to the hospital. Both are down with cold and fever.”

Ethen also reported the matter about Justin and Julian getting featured on the news to his boss. “Mr.
Graham, should we suppress the trending news?”

Benjamin snorted. “That's not necessary.”

Ethen glanced toward the ward and reminded Benjamin, “Mr. Graham, aren't you afraid Mrs. Graham
will find out?”

Benjamin arched his brow, seemingly unfazed. “The news doesn't mention the duo doing anything to
Tim and Zachary anyway.”

Mr. Graham has a point. Sensing Benjamin's indifference, Ethen didn't speak further. “I'll go inside to
visit Mrs. Graham.”

“She's asleep.” Benjamin turned to his subordinate. “Don't come to the hospital unless necessary.

Arrange more people to watch over Gavin and the kids.”

“Understood!” Ethen nodded and turned around to leave.

Right after he left, Bradley came to visit Arissa. However, he didn't get to meet her and was also sent
away by Benjamin.

That day, Arissa didn't see many people.

While playing with her phone, she suddenly saw a pop-up news and gossiped with Benjamin about it.
“Benjamin, why were Justin and Julian found on the beach together? Were they kidnapped?”

“I'm not sure.” Benjamin was uninterested.

She glanced at him, then at the news report, which didn't reveal any important information.

Nonetheless, she couldn't resist a touch of schadenfreude when she saw the two in a pathetic state.
“Perhaps they did too many bad things, and someone took revenge against them because of how
despicable they are.”

Benjamin was silent for a few moments.

He took in the smile on her face in curiosity and asked, “Don't you pity them?”

Arissa pursed her lips and scolded indignantly, “Why should I pity them? Serves them right!”

She didn't feel any need to show compassion to those unkind to Benjamin.

Benjamin felt delight bubbling within him at the sight of her furious demeanor.

“Indeed. Served them right!” he echoed.

Then, he took her phone and placed it aside. “Don't play with your phone for too long. Rest your eyes.”

She didn't protest. Out of the blue, she asked, “Have you noticed it's a little quiet today?”

“Aren't hospitals always quiet?” Benjamin replied calmly, as he didn't think that was something out of
the ordinary.

“They didn't come to the hospital to visit me today, and I don't know what's going on with Bradley either.
I can't reach him on his phone.” Arissa sighed.

Benjamin stroked the bridge of her nose in amusement and uttered gently, “Perhaps he's resting. You
can call him again later. They came to see you in the morning, but you were sleeping, so I chased them
away.”

Arissa was rendered speechless.
