Chapter 1266 Bedridden

Julian had no way to defend himself, no matter how angry he felt. He had no choice but to endure the
attack.

The five boys took a sick pleasure in beating Julian up. Finally, they heaved a big sigh and ceased their
assault.

At that point, Julian was in so much pain that he could not even make a sound.

The five boys nodded at each other and quietly slipped out of the guest room the same way they had
entered.

Crystal, worried about her son, rushed over to see him as soon as she woke up in the morning.

When she saw Julian bound up and bruised all over with his head still covered by a sack, she let out a
blood-curdling scream.

“W-Who did this to you?” she demanded, pulling the sack away and quickly untying him.

Seeing the swirls of purple and red marks all over his body up close, Crystal almost fainted.

“W-Who beat you up? Oh, my poor son!”

Julian was in so much pain that he could not bear to make a sound. When Crystal laid her gentle hands
on his wounds, he almost passed out from the agony.

He took a long while to calm down before attempting to speak. His face was distorted and swollen all
over.

“Mom... be careful where you touch. It hurts...”

“Who hit you?” Crystal was both distressed and angry.

Who could have attacked my son in my own home? And why? How could I have not realized anything?

What made Julian angriest was the fact that he could not identify his attackers.

“Mom, go check the surveillance cameras! There was a whole gang of them beating me up! I'll make
them all pay!” Julian snarled through gritted teeth.

“Mom, go check the surveillance cameras! There was a whole gang of them beating me up! I'll make
them all pay!” Julian snarled through gritted teeth.

“I-I'll go check!” Crystal said, still in a panic over the state of her son.

“T-take me to the hospital first... It hurts all over...” Julian felt as if he might die from the pain.

Seeing her son in such a state, Crystal vowed revenge.

She quickly called for one of the household help, and together, they carried Julian to the car and sent
him to the hospital.

Once they arrived at the hospital, Crystal immediately called in her connections for favors to have the

best doctors treat her son.

Julian's medical report showed that, apart from the many bruises littering his body, he had broken
several ribs as well as his left hand and right foot. He would have to be bedridden for a few months to
make a full recovery.

At that moment, the six children were also on their way to the hospital. Jesse was pouting, upset that
her brothers had left her behind.

“Well, you were sleeping so soundly, so we didn't want to wake you!” Jasper reasoned with her.

Jesse snorted and rolled her eyes, still angry.

“Jesse, we didn't take you with us because it was dangerous. Come on, don't be angry!” Oliver coaxed
her gently.

“We agreed that we'd all go! You boys went back on your word!” Jesse ranted angrily.

“Okay, well, we're all back now. Don't be like this when you see Mommy later,” Zachary warned her.

Jesse glanced at his somber expression and ceased her tantrum.

“Jesse, we left you at home because we went to fight! We'll definitely take you with us whenever we go
out to play!” Tim tousled her hair affectionately.

He looked suitably guilty for upsetting her.

Gavin echoed his brother's sentiments. None of the boys would ever allow their sister to be in a
dangerous position.

“But I wanna be part of it too...” Jesse mumbled unhappily.

“You were part of it. You were the one who gave us the idea last night!” Gavin said, patting her head
gently. “Besides, you made sure Grandpa didn't discover our absence, which was a great help!”

Jesse had woken up early that morning and found her brothers missing from their beds. She had
known immediately what they were up to. Fearing that their grandfather would find out, she had locked
their shared bedroom door and told him that they were all sleeping in.

When the boys returned, all six of them had come out of their room as if nothing was wrong. Their
grandfather had been none the wiser.

“You boys left without letting me know! Grandpa could've found out!” Jesse grumbled.

“We'll let you know next time!” Jasper retorted playfully.

In response, the little girl glared at him murderously.
