Chapter 1408: Despite Her Best Efforts, She Forgot About Sandy
Gu Mengmeng guessed that Lea was probably taking the comb back to Cole. She didn’t know what they discussed but since that night, Arnold no longer stood outside Sandy’s territory everyday, posturing.
Counting down the days, little shit should be here soon.
Gu Mengmeng anxiously entreated Elvis and Lea to not tell little shit about the foolish thing she had done in the Motou mountains. This was because he would fly into a massive rage if he knew she had jumped off the cliff.
He said many times before that she was only alive because Snake had used his life to exchange for hers, and she had to cherish it.
But no matter how many times she tried to explain herself, Elvis and Lea refused to believe that she only jumped off as she was certain Gregory would catch her. That she was only threatening him and not committing suicide.
The two of them had already made use of Sandy’s lips to give her a sound scolding. So could they not tell little shit of her foolish act? Otherwise the whole world would know of her attempted suicide…
Elvis and Lea nodded their assent, indicating that they would not mention that incident.
But despite her best efforts to conceal this, Gu Mengmeng forgot about Sandy…
Little shit ran into Sandy at the entrance of Sauder, just as Collin was carrying her to the woods to watch Bode training Joseph and his brothers. Wabei never thought much about Sandy. He was a cold-blooded snake after all, and although he liked Gu Mengmeng, it didn’t mean he would like everyone else connected to her.
However, Sandy took the initiative to greet Wabei and he had no choice but to respond. He owed this much to Gu Mengmeng.
But this greeting brought a slew of troubles. Sandy told Wabei everything about Gu Mengmeng jumping off the cliff at the Motou mountains.
As expected, Wabei flew into a rage on the spot. He dashed into Sauder and charged straight up to the rooftop of the stone castle, launching a direct attack at Gregory.
Gregory had lived so long atop the Motou mountains that he naturally had an acute sixth sense toward incoming danger. Hence, when Wabei came charging over with a thick murderous aura, Gregory didn’t even have to think before he instantly spread his wings and flew up into the sky.
Nevertheless, Wabei was still two levels higher than him and although Gregory avoided a direct attack, his ankle was nipped by Wabei’s venomous fangs. He stayed in the air for a short while before plummeting straight down in front of Gu Mengmeng.
Gu Mengmeng stared dumbfounded at the scene, completely at a loss for how to react.
How to describe it? She had wanted to greet little shit the moment he came over, but before she could even smile or lift her hand to wave, Wabei had already bitten Gregory…
All that happened too fast and Gu Mengmeng was rather overwhelmed.
“Eh?! Little shit!” She didn’t have time to stop his first attack—but looking at Wabei charging toward the unconscious Gregory with bloodshot eyes and appearing as if he couldn’t wait to swallow him whole—Gu Mengmeng had no choice but to step in front of Gregory and hold Wabei off. “Calm down, please. What’s the matter with you? Did he provoke you?”
Wabei’s pupils turned into slits as he stared at Gu Mengmeng malevolently. He spat out her name like a messenger of hell calling out the name roll. “Gu! Meng! Meng!”
“What’s wrong?!” Gu Mengmeng stared in shock at Wabei. She had known him for almost three years but had never seen him so angry before. Even though he couldn’t defeat her, Gu Mengmeng still smiled in a cajoling manner as she asked cautiously. “Little shit, why are you calling me by my full name like that? You sound like the mafia extracting payback. What are you so angry about?”
