Chapter 1437 - Aren’t I Your Favorite Fox?
Chapter 1437: Aren’t I Your Favorite Fox?
“Lea, how many babies do you foxes usually give birth in one brood?” Gu Mengmeng continued hanging onto Lea’s back, watching him cook.
“Usually three to 10.” Lea answered, “You gave birth to four previously, so this time round… it should be more or less the same number.”
Since confirming that they could go get the Love of the Sky during the drought season, Lea no longer avoided discussing about children with Gu Mengmeng. In contrast, he was starting display a certain eagerness toward it.
He was now a fifth-level beast—although it was a newly-attained status, his battle experience far exceeded other fifth-level beasts thanks to Beast King Elvis’ intensive training.
By the time he activated his Beast King bloodline, their family of three Beast Kings would be more than enough to protect their brood of children.
“Mmm… then I still need to think of two more names.” Gu Mengmeng muttered.
“Two?” Lea glanced sideways at Gu Mengmeng.
Gu Mengmeng beamed. “Yes, I already have two names ready but if we have four sons, then I need to think of two more.”
Although they had yet to be conceived, Lea himself very much looked forward to it. So he was willing to discuss with Gu Mengmeng about their future. A future with her and their children.
“Tell me, what names have you thought of?”
Gu Mengmeng giggled. “I didn’t think of them. They were ready-made.”
“Ready-made?” Lea was puzzled.
Gu Mengmeng nodded and smiled slyly. “Soushi and Tomoe are my two favorite foxes. In the past, I had dreamed of them being my boyfriends, but… since that’s not possible, they can still be my sons.”
Lea put aside the things in his hands and drew Gu Mengmeng from his back into his arms. With one hand supporting her buttocks and the other behind her back, he let her wrap her two legs around his waist. Facing her directly, Lea narrowed his slanted eyes and asked unhappily, “Aren’t I your favorite fox?”
Gu Mengmeng looked like a child being caught stealing sweets. She laughed. “That was in the past. They used to be my favorite foxes.”
“Mengmeng, you said before that I was your first love… so these two foxes… mmm?”
Gu Mengmeng waved. “Stop it. They are completely different from you. They are just comic characters and not real people at all.”
“Mmm?” Lea raised one brow in disbelief.
Gu Mengmeng chortled. “Tomoe and Soushi are imaginary characters. They don’t exist in real life. No matter how good they are, they cannot be compared to you. Since meeting you, I no longer fancy any other foxes. Really! Daddy Lea is the most handsome…”
Daddy Lea…
Lea smiled. He was delighted by her fawning.
He pinched Gu Mengmeng’s little nose. “You are not allowed to like other foxes. I won’t allow any other fox into this family to fight for your affections.”
“No way.” Gu Mengmeng lifted her chin and patted her own tummy. “We will have many little foxes in our family in future. And I will like them all. See one, love one!”
Lea couldn’t help smiling. He gently bit Gu Mengmeng’s earlobe. “Those borne by you are the exception.”
Lea handed Gu Mengmeng over to Elvis before concentrating fully on finishing his cooking. Just a short while later, Gregory brought back some bird eggs. He halted the moment he saw Gu Mengmeng. Landing on the ground with an armful of eggs, he didn’t know whether to step forward or retreat. Guarded and hesitant, he had no idea what to do with himself.
