" Do you want me to take order from him?" Sofia suggested.

" Yeah, thank you so much, I will just serve other customers," I gave the menu card but she refused to
take it.

" I was kidding. You should talk to him. He's still here for you and you don't deserve to be alone like
this. So, do it by yourself," She said, leaving me. As she walks by, I can see her laugh. If she's not
going to help, I will handle it by myself.

Before going to his table, I went to table 6 to serve the juice they ordered. I couldn't concentrate well.
My eyes shifted towards the place where Xander is sitting.

The next moment, my hand slipped and I almost dropped the glass.

" What the hell? Is this how you serve here?" The lady yelled as the juice almost spilled on her dress.
Before I could make a whole mess, I caught the glass.

" I'm sorry, madam. I'm extremely sorry," I apologized, looking embarrassed to the core. This time when
I get fired, I can't come back here again.

" Where's the owner? You aren't even qualified to be a waitress," She yelled again and I can feel
someone's standing beside me the next second.

" You don't need to call the owner. She already apologized. She won't make this mistake again. take
this as an apology and just don't grab any more attention," Xander told her, giving her a hundred
dollars. Hundred dollars. Why is he doing it?

The lady blankly looked at him for a minute and took the money. " Hereafter, I'm not ordering anything
from here," She muttered and left the dinner as the silence prevailed in the dinner again.



" Why do you do that? A hundred dollars?" I glared at him but he just grabbed my hands and made me
sit next to him at table 9.

" So, what are you doing here, Madison? You got the job again," He simply asked ignoring about the
hundred dollars.

" Yes, I got the job back and how do you even find the address,"

" I demanded Veronica tell the dinner address. I know you would come back here after running away
from me."

" I didn't run away. I choose to leave you because I don't want you to spoil your life. You will regret your
decision if you choose to be with me. Now, would you please excuse me? I have works to do. I can't sit
here like a customer," I told him without showing any feelings of missing him.

" Even this waitress uniform looks beautiful on you. I don't usually like red and yellow together but it
suits you," He changed the topic and I couldn't stop myself from blushing.

" Did you hear what I said or not? I have to serve the custo..." I was speaking as Xander snapped his
fingers and caught Sofia's attention who is standing next to this table.

" I know we haven't officially met. You are Sofia right. I saw your pictures on Madison's phone. Nice to
meet you. I'm Xander." He shook her hand.

" Actually, we already met but you don't remember. Anyways, nice to meet you." She replied without
any anger she had a week ago. Is it because he's not the same person who loved Veronica?

" So, can you manage the work without Madison for a while," He asked her. I made eye contact with
her to say 'no'. Please say no. It's hard to avoid or forget him when he's next to me.



" Yeah, you can have her as long as you want. She won't say it, but she still misses you and cries."
Sofia told him and looked at me and lowered her face to my ear and whispered. " I'm doing what's right.
I can't deny the fact that I hated Xander but not now. He loves you and you always love him so don't try
to ignore it." then she left.

" You have such a good friend. Atleast she's on my side," Xander said, putting his arms around my
shoulder.

" She should be on my side and I should be in the kitchen."

" I told you, you don't need to work anymore. Why are you making your life difficult?"

" I'm not. I'm doing what's best for you."

" This is not best. Come to my mansion and tell me you will stay with me. A single word 'yes' is enough.
I will cancel the wedding."

" I told you not to cancel the wedding. Did you talked with Veronica these days?"

" Yeah, she came to see me. I told her to take her things and go somewhere. I even told her I will even
get an apartment for her. I just wanted her to leave."

" You said that? What did she say?"

" She refused to do that. She asked for some time. She's thinking that she got rid of you and now I will
marry her."

" I know that's how she thinks," I replied and stared at Sofia serving all by herself.

" Are you going to tell me how we met or not?"



" Why can't you ask Veronica? By the time, she would have said it by herself." She will be ready to tell
him that I'm the only person Xander hated in his life.

" She insisted to tell. But I want to hear from you. So, I just slammed the door when she tried to say it."

" Whoa, I think you will be the only person who even embarrassed her by doing all this. Even if you go
back to her, she will accept you. Cause I can't change my mind. I'm afraid of the consequences." I said,
getting away from the table.

" I told you I'm not going back. I only want you."

I don't know when the conversation will end if I continued it.

" I guess I have to act like a waitress. I'm in the dinner and I'm no one but a waitress to everyone. So,
what do you want to order sis?" I asked her, placing the menu card in his hand.

" Then who are you to be outside the dinner?" He raised his eyebrows.

" I'm...I'm still a waitress, sir,"

" Wrong answer, Babe. You are my future wife,"

" I don't know what you are talking about, sir. If you order something, I will get it for you,sir,"

" Stop talking like I'm a stranger to you. If you ever loved me, you will stop talking like this, Madison."
He said, already gotten up from the table.

" Xander?" I just called his name and he smiled.

" This is enough for today. I will come here daily until you change your mind."
