“I’m not the first one. I was fooled by him too.” Aina lowered her head. She began to tell Leah how
Dennis had tricked her and had been treating her cruelly.
Leah was shocked and found it hard to believe after listening to what Aina said. The trick that Dennis
used on Aina was exactly the same as he used to get close to her.
He would first create a scenario where he would bump into his target. After the encounter, he would then
portray himself as a gentleman to lower the target’s guard so that he could develop a friendship with her.
Dennis had successfully won the hearts of many girls with his good looks, background, and his funny,
friendly personality.

Aina and Dennis had not revealed their relationship because Dennis had always been “marketing”

Do you think we deserve what we get?”
Leah frowned. “No, you’re not. You don’t deserve to be treated this way. All of you are victims, and he’s
the one who’s causing you all pain.”
Aina let out a bitter smile. “You’re the first person who comforted me this way. You know what? When I
told them what he did to me to my friends, they just laughed at me for my stupidity. They said that I
deserve it because I overestimated myself and that I was the one who wanted to find a man who’s out of
my league.”
Aina’s head was getting lower as she said, “I have depression. I can’t sleep every night, and I’m
constantly living in fear of being controlled by him. There are many times I want to kill myself, but I don’t
have the courage to do it.”
Leah grabbed her hand and said, “There’s no way you can make everyone empathize with you, but you
can’t give up on yourself because of that. The only person who can save you in this world is you. You
can’t rely on other people. If you give up on yourself, no one can save you.”

Aina trembled slightly and was hit by a pang of guilt. She hesitated for a long while before pulling a bottle
of sleeping pills out of her purse.

“He was the one who asked me to come and see you. He wants me to put this pill into your drink,” said
Aina. “But I can’t bring myself to do that. Rather than being tortured by him, I should just…”
She looked at the bottle of pills.
Since Aina was willing to tell her Dennis‘ plan despite having no will to keep living, Leah took the bottle of
