Chapter 938 Rushed Here Overnight

The next morning, Nicole was woken up from her sleep by a knock on the door.

Her eyebrows were slightly pulled together as she dazedly yawned and slid her phone out from under her pillow.

She saw that it was only a little over 6.00AM when she took a glimpse at the phone screen.

Who is it? she wondered.

Is it Zachary? But for him to come to me so early in the morning… Something must have happened!

Nicole immediately rolled out of bed and turned on the bedside lamp before she fumbled her way to the door.

"I'm coming. I'm coming!" she called out as she opened the door.

It was obvious from the look on her face that she was sleepy. Even her voice sounded lethargic when she asked

before she even opened her eyes, "Zachary? You're early… Is something the matter?"

She let out another yawn again.

When the person in front of her didn't say anything, she cast him a curious glance. However, she ended up choking

on her words just as she was about to speak again when she saw who it was.

Her head was still foggy right after she woke up, but she was instantly awake as soon as she saw Colton.

Stupefied and shocked, she gawked at Colton standing in front of her door. "W-What are you doing here?" she

stuttered.

As it was early in the morning, the lights in the hotel corridor were somewhat yellowish and dim as they shone on

Colton's face, illuminating the outline of his features clearly.

"What? I can't come in?" he asked with narrowed eyes. He then took a step forward, squeezing his tall and big

figure through her door.

Nicole didn't say anything when she stretched out her hands to block him from doing so. Unfortunately, she was no

match for him.

Just like that, he forced his way into her room.

Colton could see Nicole well under the brighter lights in her room compared to the corridor.

And when he took a good look at her, his face darkened and even his black pupils dimmed as he closed the door

behind him. His bigger body was now stuck to her.

Nicole couldn't help feeling puzzled by the man's actions. She put her palm on his chest and pushed him away.

"It is 6.00AM. Did you rush here overnight?"

This place was far from their home country. Judging from the time she and Colton finished speaking on the phone,

he had obviously rushed over after the call ended.

She wasn't surprised he knew where she was since she knew what he was capable of.

Still, she wondered if he had gone crazy when he chose to hurry all the way here rather than sleep.

"Yeah. I was worried about you, which is why I came here right after the phone call," he replied in a low voice. His

black pupils then looked down and his gaze stopped right at her shoulders.

His eyes only continued to darken when he put his fingers on her shoulder and gently nudged.

"Is this how you look in front of Zachary?" he growled.

Nicole hadn't realized what was wrong until his fingers slid down along her shoulders.

Most of the buttons of her pajamas had come undone at some point. Not only her shoulders but her collarbone was

also exposed. Colton could even see her cleavage when he moved his gaze further down her shoulders.

Subconsciously, she pulled her clothes tightly around her torso and remarked, "You're the one who came to knock

on my door in the wee hours of the morning. How can I notice this when I'm not fully awake?"

Colton was in a better mood after hearing Nicole's explanation. He eagerly stared at her before he rested his head

on her shoulder.

"I rushed all the way here because I was worried about you. I'm sleepy, Nicky…"

Nicole didn't notice how her eyebrows wiggled then. Are my ears deceiving me? Why does it feel like he is acting

spoiled and all?

Despite her thoughts, she put on a cold expression and stated, "You should get a room and take a good rest if you

are tired, President Gardner."
