Chapter 602

“Mommy, where did you go last night? Why did you turn off your phone?” The little girl’s childish voice
rang out.

Sylvia replied, “Mommy was at a friend’s house to take care of some stuff. My phone turned off
automatically because it ran out of battery.”

“Really?”

“Really,” she said with a smile.

Isabel immediately sighed in relief when she saw that Sylvia’s smile was real. However, she frowned
and said,” Next time, you’re not allowed to turn off your phone anymore. Liam and I thought you were
going to suddenly disappear again just like the last time.”

The girl’s tone was fierce, but her expression was aggrieved.

Although Liam did not have much emotion on his small face, his gaze was also sullen.

It was obvious that he was afraid that she would disappear for many days again , like the last time
when Tara pushed her down Cloudy Heart Lake. That was why he refused to go to school and wanted
to wait for her at home.

If not for Thomas’ timely appearance last night, she

would really have disappeared completely.

Sylvia’s chest tightened. She hugged them and said, “No, Mommy won’t ever leave you two again.”

The two little ones also hugged her for a long time before releasing her.



They were already quite late for school. Sylvia had called their teacher on the way here, so she did not
plan to send them to preschool today. She led them into the living room. She was still wearing Thomas’
clothes. The clothes fit her, but they were not her own, so she was a little uncomfortable wearing them.
She said to the children,” I’ll come down after changing my clothes. You two stay here and play with
Aunt Tonya first.” “Okay,” Isabel answered obediently. Liam glanced at the clothes she was wearing
and let out a hum.

Sylvia turned and went upstairs.

She followed the stairs to the second floor and quickly reached her bedroom door.

She raised her hand and pushed the door open.

Instantly, the figure of a man sitting on the couch inside came into sight.

He wore a black shirt and slim trousers. It was seemingly the same as the one he wore last night when
he went to Cloudy Heart Lake.

At that moment, the look on his handsome face was cold and dark, and an icy cold aura also
enveloped him. Sylvia was startled, but her expression soon chilled as

well.

She looked at him coldly. “What are you doing here?”

Odell frowned at the men’s clothes she was wearing and asked gloomily, “Where did you go last
night?”

Sylvia ignored him and said directly, “I don’t welcome you here. Get out!”

He stood up, and his tall figure pressed two steps toward



her.

Sylvia immediately backed up to avoid him and make way for him to leave the room.

However, the man had no intention of going out at all. He went straight toward her.

She had no choice but to step back again.

Odell reached her in two large strides and forced her to the wall.

Sylvia glared at him coldly. He also looked at her gloomily, and asked word by word,”

Where did you go with him last night?”

Sylvia’s gaze flickered, and then she could not help but sneer.

‘He clearly chose to save Tara last night.

‘His true love is Tara, but he’s questioning me on where I went with Thomas last night?

‘What kind of logic is that?’

“Odell Carter, are you out of your mind?” she asked.

Odell pinched her face with one hand, his gloomy face pressing closer to her. “Answer me.”

Sylvia met his gaze and smiled back at him. “You see the clothes I’m wearing. Where did you think I
went?”

His hand that was cupping her face suddenly tightened.
