Chapter 58: Kill As Many As You Can

They walked to the entrance of the laboratory with ease.
Yu Shijin pressed a button on his transceiver and lowered his eyes. “Doctor, please open the door.”
His voice was still as deep and steady as ever.
The moment he finished his sentence, the door to the laboratory opened, revealing busy figures inside the laboratory.
Doctor Luxe placed the tube down and slightly turned his head to face them. He removed the surgical mask and in a deep voice, he said, “Young Master Yu, we still need some time. There are too many things to settle now.”
Standing under a bright light in the laboratory, Yu Shijin looked taller than usual.
He turned around to look at the doctor. “You still have five minutes.”
What an indifferent five words he had said! Although there weren’t any changes in his expression, one could see the bright glint in his slightly narrowed eyes.
“How are five minutes enough?”
“We still need to destroy the experiments which we cannot bring with us. Five minutes isn’t enough…”
The other experts in the laboratory spoke up before Doctor Luxe could even reply.
Yu Shijin did not answer them. Instead, he took off his transceiver wristwatch and pressed the timer. He then casually threw it in the middle of the surgical table.
The scientists in the laboratory looked at the timer.
Everyone could see that it was a countdown timer. And on it, it showed—
04:51
“If it wasn’t because you guys were at the Green City’s base, I won’t even have the patience to talk to you guys. Once the time is up, it’s up to you…” Yu Shijin straightened his coat before looking at them with a cold gaze. “If you guys want to leave or die.”
He gave off an icy vibe.
His vibe was so cold that it could send chills down one’s spine. Once he had finished his speech, the look on the scientists’ face immediately changed.
A young assistant was about to argue with him, but Luxe quickly cut him off. “Do you know who he is?”
“No.” The young assistant froze. After all, he had interacted with many powerful figures before.
Since he had not seen Yu Shijin before, he was unaware of his identity and that gave him the guts to argue with him.
“Well, you should at least know about the incident that happened a month ago at the International battlefield, right?” Luxe turned around to glance at him. “He was our commander.”
The young man stood frozen to the ground.
He had been working at Luxe’s laboratory for a couple of years now. Thus, he could get more information than a regular citizen could about the incidents that happened within the international community. With that being said, he was naturally aware of the incident that happened a month ago at the International Association.
After that incident, it affected countless organizations.
Even the International Association had to undergo some major changes.
Lucky for them, their country was spared from that incident.
He didn’t know much, but there was a fact that he knew very well—their only supreme commander in the country appeared, and he perfectly helped the country to escape all the chaos that happened, even emerging as the victor of the entire incident.
‘Their only supreme commander…’
What a solemn four words! As solemn as it sounded, he was the hope of everyone in the country.
Perhaps it was because of him they had the chance to interact with people from the International Association. It was also because he was too powerful of a person that those organizations, who harbored evil designs on them, did not dare to pick on them.
He suddenly felt as though his blood was boiling, and he could not help but stare at the cold and tall figure in front of him.
This time, he immediately lowered his head and continued with his work without a single hesitation.
“There are still four minutes left until the completion of the molecular computing.” Doctor Luxe turned around. “Just enough time.”
He said to Yu Shijin while sitting in front of his computer to impute a molecular formula of a virus.
However, his eyes darkened as he stared at his computer screen.
After that particular person had left, the fugitives at the International Association…
Became bolder than before.
Luxe looked at the white ribbon on his wrist. All in all, her influence was just too powerful.
Just then, the webpage on his computer screen changed to a countdown timer webpage. He inserted the U disk into the computer.
When he typed on his keyboard, a small part of the snowy-white ribbon, which was initially hidden inside his white sleeves, fell onto his pitch-black keyboard.
It looked very striking.
Su Huiqing was analyzing the structure of the laboratory.
Right when she unknowingly glanced at the snowy-white ribbon, she suddenly froze.
After a while, she leaned back against the wall with her eyes lowered and her lips pursed.
She then lowered her head to hide the emptiness in her eyes.
Her entire presence and vibe turned different from usual.
“Qingqing, is that the type of machine you wanted?” Yu Xiangyang looked at the machines in the laboratory and realized that a few of them looked similar to the ones which Su Huiqing described before.
Su Huiqing snapped back to her senses and casually said a simple “Uh-huh.”
She stood upright and glanced at the timer. There were only two minutes left.
With her school bag placed on the table, she walked towards a row of shelves with chemicals stacked inside.
She walked while taking a few chemical bottles from the shelves at a speed that was neither too fast nor too slow.
It seemed as if she was just randomly picking a few out since she did not look at the labels of the bottles.
The three of them stood beside her, and Qu Yan felt a little confused by her actions. “What is Qingqing doing? What is she holding?”
“Ammonium nitrate.” Gu Li immediately knew what Su Huiqing was holding with a glance.
Because he was aware of it, he was also stumped by Su Huiqing’s actions.
He was exemplary in chemistry and thus, he naturally knew what kind of reaction would occur if Su Huiqing were to mix some chemicals together.
For example…
A mini explosive.
Thinking up to that point, he regained his composure.
Perhaps he was thinking too much. After all, it was not that easy to make a mini explosive. Even if they were an expert, it was impossible to make it without any tools.
Not to mention a high-school student!
“Aren’t you shameful for not understanding simple chemical formulas despite being a third-year student?” Yu Xiangyang rolled his eyes when he heard Qu Yan’s question.
“She is not scared of being shameful…” Su Huiqing took out the last bottle of chemicals and placed it into her bag. She then swung her bag over her shoulders and turned her head towards them. She calmly said, “Because she has no shame.”
When Qu Yan saw that a smile crept on Su Huiqing’s face, the same girl who had always kept a cold and aloof demeanor, she turned her head towards her and asked, “Are you trying to joke?”
“Do I look like I’m joking?” Su Huiqing looked at the timer, which stated one minute was left.
Qu Yan stayed silent momentarily before she said, “Yes.”
“Then isn’t it settled? Since you already know, why did you still ask?” Su Huiqing casually asked.
Only ten seconds were left. She placed her hand into her pocket and walked out of the laboratory. Her side view looked extremely beautiful.
Following behind her were three people. Because she had said those words with such seriousness, the other three almost laughed out loud.
Chu Xuning followed closely behind Yu Shijin and walked towards that area. When he saw that scene, he whispered to Yu Shijin, “Miss Su is a nice person.”
Yu Shijin was strapping in the communication device on his wrist when he heard Chu Xuning’s words. He merely raised his brow and kept his usual elegant and cold demeanor.
He did not reply to Chu Xuning and instead, looked at that skinny figure who was leaning against the door.
Under such circumstances, any normal high-school student would get nervous.
Su Huiqing seemed like an aloof person and her black, bright eyes always brought out a sense of nonchalance and indifference. At times, her eyes even gave others the feeling of an unfeeling person.
However, at that moment, one sentence from her calmed the nerves of the three people behind her.
After Yu Shijin saw Doctor Luxe taking out the U-disk, he raised his hand to put on the communicative device.
His other hand opened the door.
At that moment, Chi Yue, who had remained silent for quite a while, spoke again. “Young Master Yu, the hacker on their side keeps interrupting our connection. That hacker is difficult to deal with and I can only temporarily stop him from pressing the power switch of the base. Also, a group of mutants is rushing inside the base and it’s up to you…”
After that sentence, they could hear nothing from Chi Yue’s end, and silence took over.
Chu Xuning took down the transceiver earplug and pressed it a few times. However, the light that showed his connection linking to Chi Yue did not light up.
Realizing that their opponent’s skills could rival Chi Yue, Chu Xuning had a change in expression and looked towards Yu Shijin. He normally would be fearless if it were just him and Yu Shijin on the mission. What he was worried about was that Doctor Luxe, Yu Xiangyang, and some other people were around.
They would definitely be a burden in their mission.
Yu Shijin calmly opened the door and said to Chu Xuning, “Listen to my command.”
‘Shua—’
The door of the science laboratory was opened.
Chu Xuning looked towards Yu Shijin, who kept a steady demeanor as usual before he suddenly thought of someone. He tilted his head to look at her.
Su Huiqing had retracted her nonchalant attitude. She gripped the mini handheld transceiver in one hand while she carried a bag with another hand. With a calm expression similar to that of Yu Shijin, she talked to three other people.
He saw her giving out a few bottles to the three people with a cold smile on her face. “Throw this at them and kill as many of them as you can. I can’t believe they dared to come to Green City and even did these things so blatantly…”
She zipped up her school jacket, and she said, “Did you really think nobody else could manage all of you beside me?”
