Chapter 173 - She Must Get Back The Miracle Doctor Badge
Chapter 173: She Must Get Back The Miracle Doctor Badge
It was an extremely ancient-looking badge.
The “S” in the center looked somewhat intimidating.
The flower patterns down the side gave off an enigmatic vibe.
“Damn, the Ye Family?”
Most of the people here were from overseas and didn’t know what the Ye Family was known for. Nonetheless, there were several International Association locals, and they naturally knew of the Ye Family.
They were all dumbstruck.
Then realization dawned on them. No wonder Bertha was so arrogant in school.
The Ye Family had a high-level potion maker.
Having a potion maker was like having an extra life. It was also the only way to break through to the next level.
In the International Association, basic-level potion makers were well-respected figures, and no one would go against them.
They never expected a real-life potion maker to be in their class.
“Miracle doctor badge?” Although some of them had never heard of the Ye Family, they knew of the miracle doctor badge. They couldn’t help feeling very excited. “I have heard of this. I heard that the holder of the miracle doctor badge possesses potent medical skills, and can even resurrect the dead. I… I never expected Ms Bertha to be the one!”
Everyone instantly started to look at Bertha with renewed eyes.
Although a person from the military base was already considered a pretty big deal, they were not that uncommon. Class S itself had many students with that background.
But a potion maker from the Ye Family was a rare thing.
The moment one struck up a good relationship with a potion maker, he would never need to worry about his position within the International Association.
“Ms Bertha, I want to be on your team.” At this moment, the majority of the class wanted to be Bertha’s allies.
They could not deny that Su Huiqing was powerful and an ace shot. She certainly had pretty good skills.
But compared to Bertha’s status, Su Huiqing was clearly inferior.
Within seconds, many chose to go over to Bertha’s side.
Su Huiqing didn’t care about those people. She could easily accomplish the mission by herself, along with Qu Yan and Qing Zi.
However, it didn’t feel right to see Bertha in possession of something which belonged to her.
Qu Yan had always hated the Ye Family because of Yu Xiangyang’s incident. On seeing how Bertha was audaciously pretending to be Qingqing—she just felt like jumping up and giving Bertha a sound thrashing!
However.
Su Huiqing pressed her hand, a slight smile playing upon her lips. Her lowered eyes were dark.
Qu Yan couldn’t help looking at her.
Yu Shijin also glanced up at Bertha.
More accurately, he was staring at the miracle doctor badge in Bertha’s hands.
Those eyes were swirling tumultuously.
He put on his hat and walked toward Bertha.
Seeing him react in this way, Su Huiqing knew that he had already seen through her current identity.
She batted her lashes at Yu Shijin before giving a faint smile.
Their eyes were identically pitch-black.
Yu Shijin paused. He more or less understood Su Huiqing’s meaning.
He remained standing there, hands in pocket. Tossing another look at Bertha, his eyes were as cold as always.
Su Huiqing saw him come to a stop.
Playing with her own hat, she turned to look at Bertha. “This thing. It’s yours?”
She pointed at the badge in Bertha’s hand.
Her face was clear and pristine as always.
Bertha remained impassive. She was very calm.
It was true that the miracle doctor badge didn’t belong to her, but her mother was indeed from the Ye Family, and the family managed to get their hands on the badge about a year ago.
She had heard about the origins of the miracle doctor badge and also knew the true owner of the badge had not appeared all that time.
Who knew if that person was dead or alive.
But so what if that person was still alive.
Her mother was the aunt of the next Head of the Ye Family. She held a relatively high status within the family.
As a result, she was not afraid of the original owner of the miracle doctor badge. Bertha was boldly impersonating the owner as she knew she had the Ye Family backing her. That person wouldn’t be able to do anything.
If all else failed, she would just beg her mother to take in that person as a disciple of the Ye Family.
That person should be grateful then.
As she thought through this, Bertha’s manner became scornful as she replied, “Of course it’s mine. Why, great class monitor, don’t tell me it is yours?”
Su Huiqing really had no idea how Bertha could behave so self-righteously.
She had been away for just a short time, and there was already someone holding the miracle doctor badge and impersonating her?
“You guys, are you sure you want to be on her team?” Su Huiqing ignored Bertha and looked at the people standing on Bertha’s side.
She spoke in a low voice, clearly enunciating every word.
Those people saw that there were only a scattered few standing behind Su Huiqing. Although they realized this was not very fair, the allure of a potion maker was just too great.
Su Huiqing glanced away and commented coldly. “Very good.”
Bertha was very pleased with this outcome. She indicated to the people still standing behind Su Huiqing. “Since we are all classmates, I won’t begrudge you guys for the earlier incidents if you are willing to come over to my side.”
At her words, one of her lackeys smirked wickedly. “Alright Bertha, since you are the legendary holder of the miracle doctor badge, we will work together then. Don’t haggle with a bunch of ignorant fools. Let’s hurry up and go complete the mission. Those people are the kind of trash which the school needs to get rid of anyway…”
Yu Shijin tossed an arrow over at that person and spat out two words. “Get lost.”
A whizzing sound.
A black arrow pierced into the ground beside the guy who had just spoken!
Bringing with it a murderous aura.
Another inch and it could have pierced his head. He didn’t even have time to react.
He looked up at Yu Shijin in his instructor uniform, and at his chilly aura.
He didn’t dare to say anything but just scuttled off.
Bertha’s eyes darkened. She suppressed her anger, and arrogantly led her followers off.
Anyway, the wilderness training grounds were so big, and she knew some people from the other classes too. They too possessed pretty formidable skills.
Earlier, those people hadn’t wanted to work with her. But now she had this high status, there were plenty of people who wished to do so.
It was effortless to kill off a few folks.
Su Huiqing didn’t care whether those people left or stayed. She raised her hand to her brows, to hide the cold glint in her eyes. But the miracle doctor badge… she had to do something about that.
The miracle doctor badge—not only did she have to get it back, she had to do it in style.
“Don’t worry, I am coming with you guys.” Not many people were left behind, and one of them was the youth who had exclaimed that Su Huiqing was very calm when she shot the targets.
Su Huiqing put on her cap again and gave that youth a small smile. “You don’t want to follow Bertha and the rest?”
That youth was stunned by Su Huiqing’s smile.
His ears turned slightly red, and he stammered. “Don’t worry, I learned martial arts and I can protect you.”
The other two who had stayed behind were obviously friends of that youth.
One by one, they patted their chests and swore. “Class monitor, don’t worry. We have all undergone mercenary training and are more than capable of protecting you three girls.”
Qu Yan wanted to retort but observing their proud little faces, the corners of her mouth twitched uncontrollably.
She really felt like asking them one question.
Do you know that the person you want to protect had beaten up a bunch of International Association folks sent over to Green City just a few days ago?!
Unfortunately, those youths didn’t know.
Yu Shijin just stood at the side, watching Su Huiqing disappear into the distance.
He lit a cigarette and puffed on it slowly.
The other instructors couldn’t help looking at him. They had no idea what his background was, but he dared to smoke while on the job?
More importantly, even the commander did not dare to stop him.
“It is impossible for just six people to complete the mission. The most important thing is to ensure our survival over these two weeks.” The youths surrounded the three young ladies protectively on all sides, staying on high alert.
After all, it was the most dangerous place outside of the International Association.
Their group had excellent luck and came across a mission checkpoint within minutes.
The three youths gleefully wanted to enter but were pulled back by Su Huiqing.
She surveyed the cave before nonchalantly taking out her gun. “Don’t go in, something’s amiss inside.”
She assumed a fighting stance.
It was also at this time that Bertha arrived with her team, as well as some allies from the other classes.
There were nearly a hundred in that group, all looking like they couldn’t wait to dash in and meet their doom.
Su Huiqing was still wielding her gun in one hand, with the other tucked in her pocket. “Don’t go in if you don’t wish to die.”
Silence descended.
Thereafter, someone from Bertha’s side started chortling. “I heard that the instructors are all calling you an ace shot? A pity not everyone is willing to listen to you. Do you really think you are number one in the world? Next time, take a good look at who is standing in front of you before you speak. Really, I have seen plenty of attention-seeking people like you. Disgusting. The people on your team are so pitiful.”
