Chapter 232 - You Are Back?
Chapter 232: You Are Back?
“You want to go against the Ye Family?” Gideon narrowed his eyes.
Su Huiqing tightened her grip on her silver wire. She gave a cold smile as she walked to the window. “They think that they can retreat safely after trying to harm my mother… do they think I am dead?”
She didn’t take anything else. She put on her cap and leaped down from the window.
Her movements were smooth and agile.
Anyone could see this was not her first time doing this.
Her eyes were two dark abysses.
“The Dugu Family Head’s investigation also led to this place.” Chi Yue’s voice came over the communications device.
Su Huiqing lowered her eyes. Her voice was vicious. “Barricade the place.”
Chi Yue typed on the keyboard. “Okay.”
Somewhere in the International Association, a group of black-robed men gathered.
“Damn it, why are there guards from the Dugu Family?” One of the men punched the wall angrily.
No one expected a commoner from Country Z. They had totally disregarded that person and nearly ended up having their entire team destroyed.
“Let’s inform our higher-ups that the mission has failed.” Another person stood up and took out his communications device.
“I don’t believe that the Dugu Family guards will tag along behind that woman forever!” The leader’s voice was cold and grave.
A mild voice suddenly piped up. “A pity that you will never get the chance.”
The team of men immediately turned their heads.
Su Huiqing’s hands were still tucked into her pockets. Without even lifting her eyes, she kicked a chair over!
Crash!
The chair slammed into the legs of the entire team!
They all collapsed to their knees.
The speed and power was unbelievably great. The team of black-robed men looked up in a daze.
Su Huiqing remained nonchalant. She dragged over another chair and sat before them, her eyes tinged with blood. “I will give you all a chance. Who hired you to kill Su Ruohua? Tell me and I will give you all an easy death.”
White shirt, black pants. Her face was cold beyond imagination.
Swish!
At this moment, a team of four burst in. Dressed in black gear, they stood neatly behind Su Huiqing.
The entire room was filled with a tense, bloodthirsty aura.
Anyone at present would have recognized they were the four great generals of Unknown Island.
“Do you know who I am?” The black-robed man stared at Su Huiqing in trepidation.
Su Huiqing didn’t glance at him. She just lifted a finger.
Liu Heng flung a knife over and the man screamed. He was pinned to the wall!
It was a shocking scene.
Nevertheless, Su Huiqing’s expression remained the same. She just glanced at the group of men and said calmly, “Next.”
The group of black-robed men stared at Liu Heng and team. Their eyes widened in shock when they noted the intricate floral pattern on their collars.
How could they not recognize the signature of Unknown Island!
“I will tell you, I will tell you. It’s the Head of the Ye Family.” One of the black-robed had heard the horror stories about people from Unknown Island. He immediately yielded. “He is the one who hired us to kill Su Ruohua!”
“The Head of the Ye Family?” Su Huiqing leaned back against the chair, a cold smile forming on her lips.
Having gotten what she wanted to hear, she didn’t waste anymore time.
She stood up and lifted her hand. A silver light flashed by.
The black-robed man’s eyes were still wide open when he collapsed to the ground.
“Bring the rest back to the island’s laboratory.” Su Huiqing tucked her hands into her pockets as she bent over slightly.
“Got it.” Liu Heng and team replied respectfully.
Feng Yu notified their men and kicked the black-robed man to the side. His communications device beeped. “Captain, someone is coming.”
Su Huiqing narrowed her eyes. “Who?”
“Dugu Heng.” Feng Yu looked at the transmitted image.
Su Huiqing pressed down her cap with a smirk. “Leave the dead one for him. Let’s go.”
She couldn’t help thinking: Wasn’t Dugu Heng supposed to be in a discussion with her mother now?
Why was he here?
It was just a passing thought, though.
Su Huiqing boarded the car to avoid Dugu Heng.
By the time Dugu Heng arrived, all he saw was a corpse lying on the ground.
“Sir, the guy is already dead.” The butler felt for the dead man’s pulse, before respectfully retreating behind Dugu Heng.
“Someone actually managed to find them before we did?” Dugu Heng looked at the black-robed man’s body. His eyes drifted over to the faint red line across his neck. He was slightly taken aback.
The butler scanned the surroundings. “Their investigative prowess is just as good as ours. They must not be ordinary people.”
Dugu Heng folded his hands thoughtfully.
—
After a busy night, it was already early morning by the time Su Huiqing returned.
She didn’t climb back up through the window but knocked on the front door.
She met a familiar pair of pitch-black eyes the moment the door opened.
The person had one hand tucked in his pocket. He lifted his head, revealing that clean, handsome face. His expression was unreadable. “You are back?”
