Chapter 214 - Is That Enough For You?
Chapter 214: Is That Enough For You?
One of the servants immediately spoke up. Having watched Ms Su’s things being thrown out over the past few days, her eyes were filled with righteous indignation. “Young Master, it’s good that you are back. On the very first day after you left, Madam Yu brought Ms Dugu over and she is now staying at the room that you had renovated. All the clothes you had us bring over were thrown out!”
Although Ms Su had been here only twice, the servant felt that both her character and appearance were far superior to that of overbearing Ms Dugu!
Over the past few days, Dugu Wu’s imperious and self-entitled attitude just made the servant want to give her a vicious slap.
It was great that the Young Master was back.
“Thrown out?” Yu Shijin raised his brows. His voice was spine-chilling.
The servant nodded. She had watched Dugu Wu throwing out all of Ms Su’s stuff over the past few days, her insides boiling with rage. “I told her that you had prepared that room for Ms Su, but Madam still brought Ms Dugu Wu over. She even said…”
At this, she suddenly felt like she might have overstepped her boundaries. In such wealthy and powerful families, they did not tolerate servants who told tales.
She had been so angry that she nearly forgot herself and blurted out too much.
She immediately shut her mouth.
But Yu Shijin just lifted his head and stared straight at her. His arms remained crossed behind his back as he stood there coldly. “What did she say? Tell me every single word that she said.”
Yu Shijin seemed to know what the servant was worried about. He smirked. “I am still the master of this house.”
On hearing that, the fear in the servant’s heart slowly faded. She immediately piped up. “She said there is no place for Ms Su. If any of us dared to disrespect Ms Dugu, we would be chased right out of the Yu Family.”
“Very good.” Yu Shijin stated in a chilly voice before turning toward the chief detective. “No one here is to be let off. Also, make a phone call…”
His eyes darkened. “Get Madam Yu over here.”
Chief detective immediately obliged.
The way things were unfolding, Dugu Wu’s initial joy turned to anxiety. She glanced at Yu Shijin.
He continued to ignore her and just walked up the stairs.
Meanwhile, all the servants seemed to have recovered their courage. They closed the doors.
Dugu Wu was truly frightened. She felt panicked and called the Dugu Family residence.
Yu Shijin was truly in a murderous mood.
He went upstairs with the chief detective in front, who kicked open the door opposite his room.
Yu Shijin scanned the room with cold eyes. It was still a pale blue, the color he chose for the renovation.
But everything else was different. The computer table he prepared for her was replaced by a vanity filled with countless bottles and containers. The cabinets were also changed, while the original snow-white bed sheets were now striped one.
Everything which he carefully planned was completely changed.
The entire room was suffused with an intense perfume scent.
A sense of revulsion surged in Yu Shijin.
“Let’s go down.” The Chief detective could hear that Master Yu’s voice was very calm.
Downstairs, Dugu Wu stared as that regal figure descended. She took an involuntary step backward.
Yu Shijin stood at the entrance to the stairway. Bright, white light lit up his profile from behind.
The frosty light shooting out from those eyes was imposing and magnificent.
Yu Shijin finally shifted his gaze toward Dugu Wu. He suddenly chuckled but there was no warmth in his laugh, unlike when he was with Su Huiqing. Instead, it was bloodcurdling. “Since you like that room so much, then you… shall remain in there forever.”
“Chief detective.” Yu Shijin commanded calmly. “Lock her inside and burn the entire room.”
Dugu Wu already felt something was not right when Yu Shijin said “you shall remain in there forever”.
At this moment, the regal Yu Shijin had morphed into an evil demon in her eyes!
Especially that final sentence he spoke—it chilled her to the bone. She broke out in cold sweat as she took a step back, her face pale. “You… you… you… you can’t kill me. I am a member of the Dugu Family!”
“Do it.” Yu Shijin glanced at the chief detective. His eyes seemed to be tinged with blood. “Don’t make me repeat myself.”
Chief detective dragged Dugu Wu upstairs.
At this moment, the door opened with a loud bang.
Ning Baokun rushed in and saw chief detective holding Dugu Wu, as well as the pitiful expression on Dugu Wu’s face. “How dare you! Put Ms Dugu down right now! Shijin, what are you trying to do? Are you going to kill your own fiance?!”
Chief detective paused and looked at Yu Shijin.
He could disregard anyone else, but this was the boss’ mother.
“Fiance? I only have one fiance. It’s fine that you didn’t know this, but from on, remember this.” Yu Shijin looked at Ning Baokun. His manner was magnanimous but his voice was as cold as the frost in December. “My fiance’s surname is Su!”
“Bring her up and burn her.” Yu Shijin instructed coldly.
Ning Baokun’s face changed. “Are you mad? You are treating Ms Dugu like this over some low-class wrench?”
“She’s not some low-class wrench. She is my girlfriend now.” Yu Shijin lit a cigarette. The smoke blurred his features. “Since Dugu Wu had the guts to destroy the room, she should have known the consequences.”
The room.
Ning Baokun gazed at the teary-faced Dugu Wu and her mind flashed with realization. Looking at how the chief detective was dragging Dugu Wu up the stairs, she knew there was no way she could hide the truth anymore.
So it was because of that room.
But she was the one who had made the servants throw out everything in that room. What did it have to do with Dugu Wu?
“Shijin, you misunderstand. This has nothing to do with Ms Dugu. I was the one who ordered the servants to throw out everything in that room. It has nothing to do with Ms Dugu! If you don’t believe me, you can ask the servants…”
Yu Shijin slowly turned his head and looked at Ning Baokun in a brand new light. His voice remained impassive. “Is that so?”
“Ms Dugu was worried about your health. How could she have done something like that?” Ning Baokun really felt that Dugu Wu would make a good daughter-in-law. She was respectful toward her and was a big boost to her ego. “Don’t misunderstand Ms Dugu. Let go of her!”
“You were the one who did that?” Yu Shijin continued to look at Ning Baokun calmly.
“It’s for your own good! Ms Dugu is the only descendant of the Dugu Family. She is the perfect match for you. You…”
Yu Shijin lowered his eyes as he turned on his black lighter with a flick.
A blue flame glowed.
His eyes were filled with a cold venom.
Ning Baokun could feel a chilly and murderous vibe emanating from him. She stared at Yu Shijin in disbelief. “Are you going to harm me too? Are you going to burn me like how you tried to burn Dugu Wu?! What are you guys still standing there for? Hurry up and go get our elders here…”
Monster University.
Qing Zi was still in front of the computer typing away.
Qu Yan hadn’t had a chance to shower yet but was just parked in front of her laptop, typing away with Qing Zi.
Su Huiqing was still in the shower.
Although she had an umbrella, she was still totally drenched by that huge downpour in Country H. Unlike Qu Yan, she couldn’t sit in front of her computer in such a wet state.
By the time she emerged from the shower drying her hair, Su Chu and team had already received the news. A group of people were outside Monster University waiting for her.
To talk about the development of Su Corporation.
Su Huiqing told them to wait for further instructions.
At this moment, the chief detective video-called her. Without waiting for Su Huiqing to speak, he cried out anxiously. “Ms Su, hurry over now! Boss is going mad…”
“Wait… what happened?” Su Huiqing rubbed her ear. “Slow down.”
“No… boss, it’s boss. That room is gone. Boss is going to kill someone…”
Su Huiqing massaged her temple as she said rather coldly, “Have you forgotten how to talk properly?”
Chief detective took a deep breath and resumed his normal speech pattern. “Boss prepared a room for you earlier. He personally designed the room and made sure it was done to his specifications. He also said it was in a style that you favored. But when we returned today, it was destroyed by Madam. You know how she is… Boss really wants to kill someone now. If you don’t hurry over, it will be a massacre here…”
“Are you sure it’s just a room?” Su Huiqing raised her brows. She felt that the chief detective was just exaggerating. “Brother Yu can’t be that ludicrous.”
Chief detective replied, “The relationship between boss and his mother has never been too good… aiya anyway it’s all a mess here now. You will know when you arrive.”
The phone remained connected.
Su Huiqing took up her jacket and put it on.
“Qingqing, you are going out so late at night?” Qingqing turned away from her computer screen.
Su Huiqing was buttoning up her jacket. “Mmm, I will probably head straight to the Su Corporation. I won’t be going back to our dormitory.”
Qu Yan indicated that she understood.
Su Huiqing left.
Chief detective was still telling her about the situation over there, mainly explaining to her about Ning Baokun.
Su Huiqing’s already stiff expression was turning into a frown.
She boarded the captain’s helicopter, and conveniently brought along Su Chu and his team.
Along the way, she remained oblivious to the captain’s chattering.
This was the third time she was visiting Yu Shijin’s place.
Standing outside, she could hear the commotion inside.
Ning Baokun had pulled Dugu Wu over to her side and was speaking to Yu Shijin. “You didn’t used to be like this. Is it because of that Su vixen who made you…”
“Madam, please watch your tongue. Making personal attacks like that—I have the right to bring you to court.” Su Huiqing opened the door before Ning Baokun could finish her sentence.
She had just showered and her hair was still damp.
Putting one hand into her pocket, she glanced at Ning Baokun indifferently.
“You are that Su girl…”
Su Huiqing glanced at Yu Shijin, who was also looking at her. His eyes were frighteningly cold and dark.
Su Huiqing brushed her hair back and looked away.
She then gazed at Ning Baokun. “Who do you think you are? Insulting me after you reproach your son? Sorry, but I am not part of your Yu Family. Speak like that to me again and I will slap you so hard your face will be ruined!”
“How dare you…” Ning Baokun opened her mouth.
Su Huiqing’s eyes dimmed. She continued staring at Ning Baokun as she stepped closer toward her. “Do you have the right to reprimand Brother Yu? He has been back for so long but have you even asked about his health? Do you know about the dangers he faced in Country H?”
“Of course you don’t. Not only did you not ask about your son and hurt him, you have even summoned the elders over to seek justice for yourself! Ask yourself, do you have any right?!”
Ning Baokun was dazed.
But Dugu Wu had now recognized Su Huiqing as that person from the restaurant earlier.
She dug her nails into her palm as she stared at Su Huiqing with malevolence. “This is the Yu Family, who are you to make a scene here?”
Ning Baokun didn’t stop Dugu Wu.
A white crystal chandelier hung above their heads. Su Huiqing looked at the chief detective and team. “These two people are such an eyesore. Throw them out. Let Ms Dugu’s fans take a good look at what kind of person their revered goddess is actually like.”
“Got it!” Chief detective and gang answered heartily.
They looked at Ning Baokun and Dugu Wu with cold eyes, before dragging them along by the arms and tossing them out.
Su Huiqing smirked at Dugu Wu. “Look at how these people follow my command. Is that enough for you?”
