Chapter 429

The trio was stunned when they read the apology post.

How could this be called an apology statement? It was more like a shift–the–blame statement.
Nathaniel wrote a long article, but the trio could only summarize it as follows:

Firstly, Nathaniel had spent the past few days carefully checking, scrutinizing, and researching the
experiential records and could finally prove that the previous products were indeed Lily‘s work and not
Melanie‘s.

The reason for the previous misunderstanding was because of Melanie‘s deception. He was also
deceived and did not know the truth. Now that Nathaniel knew, he deeply regretted it and wanted to
apologize to Lily.

Secondly, the relationship between him, Melanie, and Lily was a personal issue, and Nathaniel did not
want to discuss it publicly. However, due to everyone‘s concern, he wanted to make it clear that he had
no regrets as he was in love.

Nathaniel wrote a long article with the conclusion that he was willing to apologize to Lily with utmost
sincerity and would accept any of her decisions, retaliation, or do anything she wanted, to make up for
his mistake. He was willing to cooperate and satisfy Lily as he owed her.

The whole article sounded sincere but was full of lies. The general public did not know if it was true or
not and was even more oblivious to how much of it was the truth. For example, it was true that the
previous products were Lily‘s, but did Melanie deceive Nathaniel?

“F*ck!” Olivia cursed out loud. That was the only response she had for Nathaniel‘s apology statement.

“I‘m starting to admire him!” Jenny shook her head and laughed.



“You admire him?! Why? He‘s a shameless person!” Olivia felt enraged, “He‘s also a liar!”

“He does have the talent to lie with a straight face! Also, he‘s quick to take action and knows he must
pretend to be weak when he meets a strong enemy. Nathaniel knows he can no longer hide the truth
and thus mixes it up with lies.

“The most difficult thing to distinguish in this world is when things are half–truth and half–lie. Lies within
truth and truth interlaced with lies, who knows what‘s the truth and what isn‘t?”

Lily nodded in agreement with Jenny‘s words.

“I‘ll go and expose his lies,” Olivia said and was about to go to her computer and retaliate on Twitter.
We should expose such a shameless person to everyone so he can no longer deceive others.

“There‘s no need,” Lily stopped Olivia and added,” What are you going to expose? He said he didn‘t
know and got deceived by Melanie. Nate was also a victim. If you were to say he did know. Who would
the public believe?

“Melanie is still in prison, so she can‘t fight for herself. Nate blamed her because he knew about this.
Melanie has no way to prove otherwise.”

Lily shook her head. She had thought about this when she was reading the post earlier, “Let‘s first put
aside whether or not it‘s worth it to go all the way to Westwood to look for Melanie regarding this. Even
if we go, it‘s still unsure whether or not we can meet her. Even if we do meet her, will Melanie testify for
us? Will she go against Nate? She won‘t!”

Indeed, Melanie would feel angry with Nathaniel‘s slander. Even so, she hated Lily even more, so
Melanie would never help her.



“We should at least tell everyone the truth. It‘s up to the public to choose whether believe it or not.”
Olivia felt unwilling to swallow this grievance.

“No rush. We‘ll wait and see.” Lily‘s words remained the same.

However, Olivia could no longer hold her anger,“ We still need to wait?”

“Why haven‘t you learned to be patient? You‘ve been by my side for so long. We often need time to
refine the essential oil and distillation of the fragrance and be patient. Since I decided to fight back, I
must hit Nate with one blow. This will fail if I rush the work and give him a chance to struggle.”

“Oh well, it seems Lily is treating this as work.‘

Olivia thought for a moment and pointed at her eye, saying, “If so, I should pretend I didn‘t see it?”
