“You don‘t know her,” Alexander said.

Brandon almost cursed at him. ‘What the h*ck! Someone I don‘t know?! It‘s akin to him not answering.‘

But then again, if she was someone Brandon did not know, then she was likely not someone who was
from a wealthy or famous family. He might not know all the eligible bachelors, but he knew all eligible
ladies of their circle.

Brandon was not bragging but could name all the ladies and mention their characteristics, who was
beautiful, who was bad–tempered, or who had outstanding talent.

Alexander said that Brandon did not know her. Did he mean that she was not one of these ladies?
What background did she have then? Is she a peasant? No way! The Russells were an influential and
wealthy family. How could they allow him to marry a peasant?

“Even if I don‘t know her, she must still have a name, right? Also, will your family allow you to marry a
peasant? Don‘t tell me you fell in love with Cinderella. Please wake up! The Cinderella story is a mere
fairytale for innocent girls. Don‘t tell me you believe in such love!” Alexander looked at Brandon coldly
as he was too noisy. Brandon stopped his words and was quiet for a moment. However, he still could
not help but continue pestering Alexander, “Let‘s put my wayward sister aside for now. It would help if
you thought of your family and family

business. Would they allow an ordinary girl to marry into the Russell family?”

“She‘s not ordinary.” Lily was never ordinary to him. She was special, unique, and the one and
only!‘Ordinary?! No, she never was!



Alexander continued before Brandon could continue,” Besides, I don‘t need a marriage to maintain the
business. As for my family, I‘m the one who was marrying her. I don‘t need others‘ consent.”

But he could not, considering his sister and Alexander‘s special status. He never imagined that
Alexander, the big CEO, was so naive when he was in love.

What he said rendered Brandon speechless. Alexander made him sound like a gossiper. Indeed,
Brandon‘s actions earlier were no different from a gossiper. He shut his mouth and looked at the
passing scenery outside the car window.

Brandon frantically searched his mind but could not identify who was the possible candidate who was
about to become Ms. Russell.

forward to something.

‘Is he looking forward to something?‘ Brandon came to a realization. He recalled Alexander wanting to
hurry home after work and refusing his invitation for dinner or to go out drinking. He insisted on going
home for dinner and said he had not prepared dinner for Brandon. Could it be?

“Are you already living with the woman you want to marry?!”



Alexander did not deny it, but he did not admit it either. Brandon had affirmed his thought when he saw
Alexander‘s expression. “Damn it. I never noticed that you were someone like this all along, bro!”
