Chapter 39: The Truth

As a result, Tristan had always been ready to escape in an instinct for danger as soon as he
discovered that there was something wrong with his plan.

He was about to leave the country with the fake passport he had prepared in advance when he was
unexpectedly arrested by police at the airport.

It all happened so fast.

Tristan initially displayed remarkable resistance during the trial.

He always denied his offenses.

He would have refused to answer the court's questions about his sins regardless of how they were
posed.

It wasn't until three days later that when Sophie appeared opposite him, he finally broke the silence to
speak.

"You finally came,’ Tristan exclaimed after a long silence.

His voice was low and deep.

His eyes were clouded with malice, and his face and aura were darkened and terrifying.

"And you are finally willing to speak” Sophie's expression was cold, but her eyes were filled with mixed
emotions, surging back and forth.

"Should I thank you or despise you for that?"

"Make yourself at home.I don't care!"



Tristan's spirit was on the verge of collapsing.

He had worked so hard over the years to plan so much, but in the end, all of them had failed.

‘However, it was not all in vain.Zac had a heart condition, and his father had a stroke.Madden's
Industries went bankrupt as well.So I didn't lose, did I?’

"What made you do that?" Sophie locked her gaze on him.

Tristan felt a sudden surge of relief for no apparent reason.

From beginning to end, he told her everything he had done over the years.

His intention was clear.

He wants Madden, and he will destroy Zac's family! And it was all because of a family feud between
their grandparents.

Because of business concerns, Zac's grandfather murdered Tristan's family.

When Tristan was a child, his severely injured father managed to escape with him.

From a young age, his father's plan was to exact revenge and destroy Madden at all costs.

However, Madden was too powerful, and Tristan had been plotting for years without finding an
opportunity to exact his vengeance.

Until Tristan finally had a massive apparent breakthrough plan when Zac and Edith fell in love.

He first used the coincidence that Madden men's first wives died young to create a so-called curse and
spread the rumor recklessly.



This rumor served two purposes.

The first was that whether Edith and Zac eventually divorced or not, it prevented Madden and other
powerful families from marrying because no one wanted their daughter to die.

They would rather believe what they have than what they didn't have for this feudal superstition.

The second goal was to persuade Edith and Williams’ parents to go along with his plan.

He had already been in secret contact with Edith, so all of her actions and statements were cleverly
influenced by him.

Everyone in the Williams family was merely chess pieces for him.

He was also responsible for the Maddens fire.

He had spent a long time planning it.

He discovered a woman on the outskirts whose height and appearance are similar to Sophie's.

Then he kept the woman and asked her to have plastic surgery to match Sophie's appearance.

Her appearance and the tiny mole on her chain bone, and the scar on the palm of her right hand were
identical to Sophie's.

Then he murdered her, replaced Sophie with her body, and let Zac witness Sophie's death! Then he
saved Sophie and used drugs and hypnosis to manipulate her memory and IQ.

He had complete control over her, allowing her to poison Zac, stealing information from Zac's
computer, and bringing the Madden Group to its downfall.



He had used Zac's guilt and love for Sophie to plan the kidnapping.

Edith would not have succeeded without Tristan's assistance.

He was correct.

Zac would take the blame for Sophie's murder.

As long as Zac takes the responsibility, Madden would be finished entirely, whether it was a death
penalty or lifetime imprisonment.

But he didn't expect that even though his plan went smoothly, he would still lose in the end.

But he still didn't know which of his methods had failed.

‘Why did I completely reversed when I was about to win? Is it true that even God was on Zac's side?
He was unfair! I don't want to die!’ "Do you realize you could be sentenced to death?"

Sophie asked.

"Is death terrible?" Tristan asked in return.

"Must be.Then I wish you a good death!"
