Queenie's head was filled with confused thoughts.
Suddenly, she realized something.
'No way!
'I can't let anyone know that I acted like nothing happened after I found out that Molly was getting kidnapped!
'It's not going to turn out well!'
Queenie was worried that everybody else would criticize her. Even though Molly was fine, she was afraid that she would be
looked at differently.
She would have it even worse if something bad had really happened to Molly.
Queenie put all those thoughts behind her and erased them, she warned herself to forget about them completely.
Benjamin got excited when he saw Molly coming back. He went to her and asked, "How are you? Are you feeling better now?"
Molly stared at Queenie for a few seconds, she stopped looking at her after not noticing anything
strange. Then, she answered Benjamin, "I'm fine now. Don't worry."
Benjamin checked Molly out from head to toe, looking serious. He was only relieved after seeing that
there was nothing wrong with her. "I'm glad to hear that."
They figured that they were supposed to be working at this hour, so they went on to do their job after
that.
Molly got right into researching, looking meticulous. She went back to her busy life again.However, she felt very happy.
She felt really happy that she could live peacefully like that.
At noontime, Benjamin went to look for Molly again after everybody else in the lab went for lunch.
He looked very handsome and graceful. He had a pair of slanted eyes, and he was very classy. He
would always get the attention of the opposite sex wherever he went.
He thought about a lot of things during these two days.
'Sean is not capable enough to keep Molly safe, yet he'd always put her in danger.
'He was clearly the reason why those people went after Molly. How could he let Molly be the
scapegoat?
‘Molly almost lost her life!
'However, Sean was still sitting on his chair peacefully without a scratch.'
Benjamin was very angry. Then, he thought about something else. He hoped that Molly could get her
mind straight in these two days and figure out who was the man that could really take care of her and
protect her.
This thought flooded his whole head as soon as he began thinking about that.
Especially the moment he saw Molly, his quiet heart started beating uncontrollably again.
The elegant and glacial face appeared before his eyes once more as he asked expectantly, "Molly, you
only had to go through those things because you don't have a person to protect you. So, would you
consider me now? I'll never let any of those things happen to you again."He sounded very confident at first, but he could not help but feel nervous later.
He already said things like this to her before.
However, when he opened his mouth, he would feel like it was the first time all over again. It was just very awkward for him.
Molly was going to have a meal after packing her things. However, she saw Benjamin coming in as soon as she opened the door.
She did not expect him to tell her things like that.
She said apologetically, "I'm sorry, but I'm not trying to blame anyone for what happened to me."
She saw Benjamin's hopeful gaze darkened right away. It was fleeting like a shooting star.
"Besides, 1 think I have to tell you that I have feelings for Sean.
But, I'm not really bothered by what he thinks about this." Molly made the tough decision and told her old friend truthfully.
She did not want Benjamin to receive false signals anymore. It was destined that his heart would only light up for somebody else.
But, that person would never be Molly.
Benjamin felt very bitter, and his heart felt like it was run over by a car.
