The look on Joelle's face froze. She was not expecting Alice to agree with what she suggested so quickly.
She thought that Alice would at least pretend and say something to stop her from leaving.
However, she was wrong about everything!
'It seems like she doesn't want me to be her daughter-in-law anymore.
'Has she really accepted Molly?
'No! Why?! How is Molly better than me?!'
Joelle's anger boiled inside her as her eyes watered. She felt mistreated, and she had the urge to cry.
However, she did not dare to reveal too much of her emotions in front of Alice. She was the one who suggested quitting, after all.
So, she tried her best and put on a smile before thanking them, "Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, thank you for your understanding. I'll be going back
to work for my grandpa tomorrow, then. I'm going to organize a banquet after I go back, and I'll send an invitation to you. I hope that both of
you can make sometime to attend.
"I'm sure that grandpa will be very happy if both of you can be there," She added.
Alice had no reason to reject her. Besides, they had to attend for the sake of Mr. Herring Sr. anyway.
So, she smiled gently and said, "Don't worry, we'll definitely be there. It's getting late now. You should
head back and get some rest."
"Sure."
Joelle smiled. Then, she stood up and left.As soon as she turned around, the fake smile she put on immediately disappeared!
She clenched her fists so hard that her fingernails dug into her palm. However, it seemed like she could
not feel any pain as rage burned in her eyes.
'I really want to know what that Molly fed the Andersons!
'Not only that Sean fell into her trap, but even Mrs. Anderson did the same thing too.
'What about me? Who am I, then? Am I really nothing in Sean's heart?'
Joelle was unhappy as she would always get what she wanted. Besides, she could not stand to lose
against Molly, a filthy woman who had already given birth!
As for Sean, she was not going to give up on him this easily.
It was already eight at night when Molly woke up.
The triplets woke up way earlier before that. They sat on the luxurious sofa in the living room
downstairs while chatting with Sean.
"Daddy, thank you so much for saying that you bought US the watches. Otherwise, mommy would be
angry at us."
The triplets were so worried when Molly asked them about the watches.
They were glad that Sean was there to get them out of trouble!
Sean heard what they said, and a faint smile flashed across his handsome face. Then, he asked them a question, "Did you guys say that
grandpa and grandma would always visit you at school?""Yeah. They like US very much, and they’re so good to us!"
Ben held his finger against his tiny head and said with a bright smile," Grandma bought so many delicious snacks for US."
"Daddy, I like grandpa and grandma." Claudia was smiling adorably too.
Sean did not expect that his parents would be accepted by the triplets in just two days.
'It looks like everything's in place now, except for one thing.'
When he thought that to himself, that "one thing" yawned and came out of the room. She rubbed her eyes and said blurry, "Sean, how long
did I sleep? Have you guys eaten?"
"Not yet. Dinner will be ready soon. You can sleep a while longer if you're tired. We're not in a rush anyway," Sean said in a doting tone.
They lived very close to each other, after all. Molly could go back to her own house any time after she woke up.
She could also stay in the guest room if she did not feel like going back as Sean's house had a lot of unoccupied rooms anyway.
