"Grandma Anderson, are you here to see us?" Alex asked Alice with his dark eyes opened wide.
Alice looked at their rosy lips and chubby fair cheeks and found them extremely endearing. Her eyes then
turned gentle.
She smiled and warmly asked, "You're Alex, right? And, you're Ben and Claudia?"
"Yes, Grandma Anderson."
Ben and Claudia nodded nicely, and they looked extremely obedient.
Alice did not know why but she just felt closer to them the more she looked at their faces. She felt that they
were all mini versions of Sean.
She smiled with her eyes and said, "Kids, can I bring you out for some drinks and have a chat with you?"
"What do you want to talk to us about?" Suddenly, Alex's tone turned sharp.
"We're just three little kids. What is there to talk about with us?"
His words immediately made Alice speechless!
She then awkwardly answered, "Alex, I don’t have any hidden intentions. I just want to eat something
with the three of you."
"Really?"
Alex did not believe her as he already had an explanation for what they were doing.'Grandma wouldn’t see us for no reason unless daddy has already told her about us. That is why
grandma is curious about us, right now.'
Alex immediately asked, "Grandma, daddy talked to you, right?"
"How did you know?"
Alice was rather shocked. Alex was just 5 years old, but he still figured it out.
Alex finally understood that they might reconcile with their grandparents today.
He thought about it and said with his back facing them, "Give me a minute. I’ll ask for a leave from the
teacher."
The triplets then went back to their classroom and politely asked the teacher, "Miss, our grandparents
visited us and want to eat with us. Can we be excused?"
Grandparents.
Alice and Ricky were standing at the entrance of the classroom when they heard how the triplets
address them, and their hearts fluttered.
The teacher glanced over to the wealthy woman outside the class and nodded, "Very well."
"Thank you, miss."
The triplets then turned to Alice and said, "Let's go, Grandma Anderson."
Alice nodded and took the triplets to a restaurant.As soon as they sat down, Alice looked at the menu as she ordered a number of dishes for the triplets. She
was being really friendly as she laughed, "Just order whatever you want. I'm treating you today, okay?"
The triplets were expressionless as they stared at Alice. They felt like she had completely changed overnight.
That made Alex even more certain that Alice already knew that they were her grandchildren.
However, she was still doubtful, which was why she visited their preschool. She wanted to have a good look at
them to verify their identities.
Alex then immediately sharply asked, "Grandma Anderson, you probably know that we're your grandchildren
now, right?"
Alice did not expect him to speak in such a straightforward manner as she nodded. "Yes. Sean told me that
you're his kids. But, I wasn't clear about the incident that year, so..."
"So, you don't believe that we're your grandchildren?"
With one line, Alex exposed her thoughts.
At the very next second, Alex quickly placed his hand on his head and tugged on his hair.
