Chapter 265

She Refused to Hug Her

As they talked, they were done planting the second tree sapling.

Rosalie got up and took the third sapling. She then secured the sapling in the pit.

A commotion was heard not very far away.

“Miss Fuller, what are you doing here too?” Miss Leigh Ann was wandering around the kids. When she
walked to the entrance, she saw someone walking toward her from afar and seemed a little shocked.

Wendy was wearing an all-red dress. Her wavy curls were scattered across her chest. She had shades
on and looked very noble.

As she walked toward Miss Leigh Ann, she reached up to take off her shades and squinted her eyes to
scan the crowd. “Byron said there’s a family activity here at the kindergarten today. I was worried about
Estie, so I rushed here early in the morning. Where are they?”

Miss Leigh Ann did not think much and pointed in Rosalie’s direction. “She’s there with Lucian and Nox.
Estie had been getting along with them lately. She doesn’t even want to split from them when planting
trees.”

Hearing those words, the look in Wendy’s eyes turned slightly cold. In an estranged tone, she thanked
Miss Leigh Ann and took big steps in Rosalie’s direction.

As it was a tree planting activity, all the parents were dressed in sports attire except Wendy. She was
the only one in a brick red dress and looked particularly eye-catching. The crowd’s eyes were all on
her.



Those who recognized her were already looking in Rosalie’s direction, waiting to witness some good
drama.

Rosalie, too, spotted the woman in the red dress walking toward them with a slightly frozen
expression.

Last night when Wendy called, she, too, thought that Wendy would not let go of what happened so
easily. However, she did not think that this woman would purposely track her down.

“Byron, there you guys are.” Wendy walked toward them, slowly stopped in her tracks, and greeted
them

Alter saying this, she looked at Rosalie and stared at her condescendingly. “Why, if it isn’t Miss
Jacobs? Long ume no see.”

The atmosphere was a little strange,

Everyone looked at them with different expressions.

Rosalie nodded at her, looking to be very estranged, “Long time no see.”

“What are you doing here?” Byron frowned and looked at Wendy with subtle unhappiness in his eyes

Seeing that, Wendy maintained her expression and brought up Melody as the topic. “Aunt said you
were bringing Estie for a class activity and was worried that she couldn’t accept this kind

of environment. She was also worried that it wouldn’t be too convenient for you to take care of Estia as
you’re a man and you’re alone. Hence, she sent me.”

The mention of Melody made the wrinkles between Byron’s eyes deepen.



His engagement with Wendy was solely because of his mother’s all-time persistence. That was the
only reason it lasted until now.

Otherwise, it would have been called off long ago!

Wendy did not sense his anger at all. She squatted down and looked at Estie who was with Lucian and
Nox. She then opened her arms at the little kid. “Estie, come give Aunt a hug.”

Estie pouted and hid behind the two little guys.

She did not like this bad aunt one bit. Bad Aunt had even hit her, so she refused to hug her!

Seeing the little kid resisting her, the look in Wendy’s eyes sank, but her smile looked genuine. She
looked at the kid apologetically. “Are you mad at me because of what happened that time? I was
wrong. I was too impulsive back then. I’m apologizing to you now. Forgive me, okay?”

Estie kept her mouth shut and shook her head quietly.

Wendy’s heart felt a harsh coldness as Estie rejected her once again.

This ignorant little bich! If it were not for the number of people here, she would surely teach her a
lesson!
