Chapter 15 - The Fake

“Shen...” The girl was closed to tears as she stood there in a pitiful manner.

Hong Xin Rui has a young and innocent face especially with her long hair tied up. With one glance at
her dressing style, you could tell that she is a country girl and have not been to the city for ages!

Wang Shen Ze quickly walked over and stroked her head lightly, “Don’t cry, I’m sorry that I couldn’t find
you earlier. I’ve let you suffer too much on your own.”

“Don’t worry, from today onwards, you can come back with me to the city. I will promise to take care of
you and treat you well.”

Hong Xin Rui nodded her head as she leaned against his chest with a wronged face.

Wang Shen Ze then brought her to his car and the driver drove them back towards the city.

Along the way, he had asked her a lot about what he had missed out in her life for the past six years.

As he chatted with her, Wang Shen Ze was very sharp to sense that something was wrong.

He just felt that she is very different now as compared to the past. Perhaps the six years have really
been tough for her which might have caused this tremendous change?

Wang Shen Ze then decided to put aside his own intuition and devote his time and energy to take care
of his little girl.

He vowed to let her lead the best life without any worries and would give her everything that she
wanted.

In high school, his first love had introduced herself to Wang Shen Ze as “Xin”. And since they were still
young at that time, he has never thought much about it and did not ask for her full name.



This was one of the things he has heavily regretted as it made it so much harder for him to find her
after six years.

Since he did not tell his family about the girl, Wang Shen Ze naturally could not bring Hong Xin Rui to
the Wang’s Residence.

He could only let her settle down first in his new marital home, where he would be moving in soon with
Lin Wen Xin.

The marital home is a luxurious modern villa with a large swimming pool that is facing the sea.

There is also an exotic garden whereby one could walk through it and reach the private beach that is
located in front of them.

The villa is five storeys high, with a basement, and consists of 10 large ensuite bedrooms.

This is the dream house that both Wang Shen Ze and his first love have frequently envisioned and
spoke about.

The house also held a special promise that Wang Shen Ze had made to his first love, that is “to love
and protect her forever”.

He knew that his first love loved fashion designing, and so he has specially designed a large room with
glass windows that had the perfect view of the sea.

He felt that she only deserves the best and he hope that this room would be a place where she could
freely experiment and gain more inspirations for her work.

With all the latest fashion design equipment in place, this room could easily be considered a studio.



When Hong Xin Rui stepped into the house, she couldn’t help but be amazed by the meticulous
architecture work and interior design of the house.

She was soon warmly greeted by the rows of servants and also by Nanny Liang, who is the person in-
charge of the employees in the villa.

Since they are not married, both Wang Shen Ze and Hong Xin Rui naturally would have their own
separate rooms.

He then personally brought Hong Xin Rui to her room that he had specifically designed according to
her favourite shades of white and blush pink.

The room is also connected to a large dressing room that housed expensive clothes, shoes, bags and
even cosmetics from many top notch brands.

Wang Shen Ze then left the room to give her some time and space to settle down in the house.

Hong Xin Rui was extremely fascinated with the room and all the things that suddenly belonged to her.

She couldn’t stop hymning to herself as she walked leisurely to inspect every single thing – from the
mattress, to the sofas and even the light switches around the room.

Hong Xin Rui definitely didn’t expect herself to be so lucky to have caught a huge fortune from heaven!

Not only did she get to live in such a big house now, she could even marry this rich man who seems to
dote on her so much!

She could not help but start calculating the amount of money and assets she could get her hands on
and the endless number of things that she could buy in the future.

Life is too surreal for her and she couldn’t believe this!



“Even though I’m a fake, as long as Wang Shen Ze doesn’t find out, I’ll get to enjoy this luxurious
lifestyle for the rest of my life! Such a good bargain!” Hong Xin Rui couldn’t help but burst out laughing
as she thought to herself.

Wang Shen Ze passed a black platinum card to Hong Xin Rui over dinner, “This is for you, it has no
limits and you can use it as you please.”

He wanted to fully pamper her and to allow her to purchase all the things that she has never had a
chance to lay her hands on before.

“Thank you, Shen.” Hong Xin Rui smiled shyly as she kept the card in her pocket.

Hong Xin Rui was extremely pleased and the next few months passed by very quickly with her enjoying
life to the fullest.

It is finally the day of Lin Wen Xin and Wang Shen Ze’s wedding.

The grand ballroom of the best five star hotel is filled with the loud but indistinct chattering and laughter
of the most prestigious guests in the country that made up the perfect ambience tonight.

The country’s most outstanding live band played music that flattered the ears of the people present.
Everyone also could not stop admiring the lavish and unique decorations that completely changed the
original look of the ballroom.

It is the most anticipated event of the year and the Wang Family as well as Lin Gao Hai has been busy
walking around and hosting the guests for the evening.



Unlike the warm ambience in the grand ballroom, the bridal room is the complete opposite, and in fact,
it is cold to the point of freezing.

Lin Wen Xin and Wang Shen Ze are sitting opposite of each other on the sofa. The room is so silent
that they could even hear a pin drop.

Lin Wen Xin is feeling slightly intimidated by Wang Shen Ze’s cold and ferocious stare.

Finally, he opened his mouth and said to her in a threatening tone, “I give you one last chance to
answer me.”

“If your answer is a ‘no’, you can leave this place quietly and I will settle everything for you. But if your
answer is a ‘yes’, I will put in the extra effort to ensure that you won’t have a good life ahead.”

There was a long silence, before Wang Shen Ze spat out callously, “Are you sure you want to marry
me?”
