Chapter 41 - You Are Fired

To be honest, Lin Wen Xin really did not want to do this at all. But seeing how the director is begging
her in a desperate manner, she really could not bear to reject him.

“Okay, I will do it.”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” The director kept bowing to her as he replied. He is overjoyed that
she had agreed to it and quickly got the team to prepare her on the details.

As the stylists were helping her with the hair and makeup, Sister Fei Yi walked over, “Wen Xin, are you
sure about this? You do know that you are not obligated to do this right?”

Lin Wen Xin looked at her and smiled, “I know. But it doesn’t hurt to offer a little help.”

It was really not easy to close off a part of the public beach and she could not imagine the number of
permits and trouble they had went through to successfully reserve this entire location.

Since everyone has worked so hard on this, she also did not wish to see the team suffer from the
potential delay.

Lin Wen Xin worked hard to memorise the script and also rehearsed several times with the male lead
before they officially went on camera.

The director was full of praises for Lin Wen Xin and it is evident that she had a natural talent in acting.

Both of them had very good chemistry on set and the first scene was completed very quickly.

Wang Shen Ze and Yi Fan have also specially dropped by today to check on the progress.

Though Wang Shen Ze is dressed casually with a pair of shades, it is still not enough to shake off his
cold and imposing aura.



Knowing that he has reached the set, the director and staffs hurriedly went over to greet him.

His presence had also put them, especially the director, under even more pressure to perform well.

Wang Shen Ze looked around but could not see Lin Wen Xin amongst the crew members. He frowned
slightly.

“Okay, action!” The director shouted through the megaphone.

Just when Wang Shen Ze was about to ask Yi Fan to find her, he caught a glimpse of Lin Wen Xin
through the director’s screen in front of him.

This is the second scene where both of them are supposed to hold hands and run down the coast
together.

Wang Shen Ze clenched his fist in disbelief. “Stop the filming immediately!”

The director quickly shouted “Cut!” and stood up nervously, “President Wang, did I do something
wrong? Please let me know... I will change it immediately.”

Looking at Wang Shen Ze’s bloodshot eyes, Yi Fan instantly understood the whole situation and
reprimanded the director.

“Fire him!” The staffs around them were trembling with fear as they heard his merciless order to Yi Fan.

“!!...”

Yi Fan had been silently praying that things would not escalate to this point, which was why he reacted
quickly earlier and lectured the director, hoping that it would help the president to calm down a little.

For someone to be fired by Wang Shen Ze, it would definitely be the end of their career in the industry.
No one would dare to offend him by hiring the person that he kicked out.



But it seems like Yi Fan has underestimated Wang Shen Ze’s anger today and have no choice but to
let this director go.

The director went on his knees as he begged Wang Shen Ze for mercy.

“President Wang, I’m very sorry, please forgive this muddle-headed person. If I had known that Miss
Lin is your wife, I wouldn’t have dared to ask her to be the female artist.”

“I have really offended you today. Please give me another chance. I promise this will not happen again
and I will find another replacement immediately.”

Meanwhile, a senior staff had come over to both Lin Wen Xin and the male lead to inform them that the
filming has been cancelled.

“Cancelled??” Lin Wen Xin asked the staff in confusion.

She then walked back to where the director was at and saw him kneeling down in front of Wang Shen
Ze.

Judging from what the director is saying to him, she more or less understood the situation as well.

Lin Wen Xin then went over to Wang Shen Ze, tugged at his sleeve gently and whispered, “Can I speak
to you privately?”

She saw that he did not respond to her and thought that he had rejected it, so she turned around and
walked over to the resting area.

As she sat down on the long bench, she was surprised to see that Wang Shen Ze had followed her
here as well.

Lin Wen Xin opened a new bottle of water for him but he refused to take it from her.



Fine... She would drink it then...

After taking a few sips of water, she offered the same bottle to him again to get him to drink up since
the weather is so humid.

This time, Wang Shen Ze took it from her and drank from it too.

So he actually wanted her to drink first before he would drink, but just wouldn’t say it aloud?

Is he really going to continue with this silent treatment?

Lin Wen Xin sighed helplessly. Such a big man but still throwing a tantrum.

She then looked at him seriously and said, “Shen Ze, I know that there are some things that you are
not happy about. But I’m sure there is a better way to handle it.”

“Everyone worked hard on this project and you know it too. I agreed to do this today because I really
didn’t want to see everyone’s effort go down the drain.”

“If you are unhappy with the script, shall we make some changes to it now before resuming with the
filming?” “Hmm??”
