Chapter 28 - He Heard Everything!

Lin Wen Xin questioned in a surprised tone, “Left the country??...”

She then went on to explain to Xiao Yu Meng about what had happened the other day to Wang Shen
Ze and Xiao Yu Zheng.

“What?! Seriously?! No wonder he left in such a hurry and said that he won’t be back for quite a while!”

Xiao Yu Meng hesitated before adding on, “And to think about it... Wang Shen Ze is so protective over
you that day?!... Has he fallen in love with you??”

Lin Wen Xin unknowingly blushed as soon as she heard that.

However, she quickly denied it. “No... I don’t think so... I think he is just... uhmm... just...”

No matter how hard Lin Wen Xin tried to think of a reasonable excuse, she could not come up with one!

“Alright alright! Save your breath! You don’t have to share your love story to a ‘single person’ like me!”

Lin Wen Xin smiled as she replied, “It’s just a one-sided love. There’s nothing much to share about
anyway.”

“Well... at least you are in love! What about me? Are you mocking me?” Xiao Yu Meng teased her.

“Noo... I’m not... I wouldn’t dare to do that! Ha-ha!!”

The conversation went on until Xiao Yu Meng had to go and they finally ended the call.

Somehow Xiao Yu Meng was able to help lighten her heavy mood.

Lin Wen Xin had been standing in front of the window the entire time.

She squinted her eyes as she looked up at the bright sky.



“Today is going to be a good day! Lin Wen Xin, you can do it!”

She spoke out loud to herself with confidence, together with some big hand gestures.

Just when she turned around and was about to reach out for her bag, she noticed...

“Ahhhh!!!....”

Lin Wen Xin screamed in shock as she saw the person sitting leisurely on the chair in front of her.

“President Wang??!”

Wang Shen Ze stared at her with one of his eyebrows raised.

What??!! How long has he been sitting there??

Don’t tell me he has heard everything from the beginning??

Lin Wen Xin’s mind is basically like a mental war zone now!

It took her a while to recollect herself and calm down. But she still remained frozen in front of Wang
Shen Ze.

“Badmouthing me?” Wang Shen Ze crossed his arms as he questioned Lin Wen Xin.

“?? Huh?... Oh... No no... I’m not...” She stuttered and could not stop fiddling with her fingers.

Wang Shen Ze saw how nervous she is and decided not to tease her anymore.

He had indeed heard everything that Lin Wen Xin had said, and could roughly guess what their
conversation was about.

Who ask her to be so unaware of her surroundings?



This has got to be a small lesson to teach her to be more vigilant in the future!

It is the start of the weekends so there is no work for the both of them today.

“I have completed the discharge procedure. We can leave now.” Wang Shen Ze carried the bag
containing her belongings and walked out of the room.

Lin Wen Xin grabbed her handbag and chased after him from the back, “Wait... wait for me!”

The driver opened the door for them as he took over the bag that was on Wang Shen Ze’s hand.

“Where are we going?” Lin Wen Xin asked curiously as soon as she entered the car.

Wang Shen Ze indirectly replied her by ordering the driver, “Paolo Terra Restaurant”.

“Yes President.” The driver nodded his head and started driving towards the destination.

“Hmm... seems like we are heading out for lunch? But Paolo Terra?? Where is that?” Lin Wen Xin
pondered to herself as she looked out of the window.

They soon alighted at a high end shopping mall and were welcomed by the mall’s general manager
and several executives.

Everyone was secretly in awe when they saw Lin Wen Xin standing beside Wang Shen Ze.

Wow! Such a gorgeous lady!

“No wonder our President does not even spare a glance at those actresses and models who are
pursuing him!”

“There is no one more deserving than her to be standing beside President Wang!”



“The two of them are more than perfect for each other!”

Lin Wen Xin noticed that everyone was quietly staring at her. She smiled embarrassedly as she lifted
her fingers and gently brushed on her face.

“Why are they looking at me like that?... Is there something on my face?...“

Meanwhile, Wang Shen Ze was extremely displeased with the fawning look on each of their faces.

He spatted out coldly, “Manager Zhang!”

“I’m sorry President Wang, this way please.” Manager Zhang sweated profusely as he lead the two of
them up to the restaurant.

Everyone stood at the back and breathed very carefully as the elevator brought them up to the highest
floor of the building.

The entire floor of the mall is taken over by this high end Italian restaurant.

Both of them were led to their private dining area by the restaurant’s manager.

The moment Lin Wen Xin opened the menu and her eyes widened in shock.

She won’t be surprised if the final bill adds up to more than a hundred thousand yuan!

This is ridiculous!

Even though her family is rich, she hasn’t spent this much before, just for one meal!

Lin Wen Xin who was originally hungry, had completely lost her appetite for food.

Wang Shen Ze decisively placed his order with the manager.



“Tagliolini pasta with lobster and black truffle, gnocchi with herbs, garlic sauce and black truffle,
shellfish with red onion cream. Open the most expensive red wine that you have in the cellar.”

He then looked over at Lin Wen Xin. “What do you want?”

Wait... That was just for himself? She thought this would be more than enough for the both of them to
share!

“You haven’t decided?” Wang Shen Ze probed further when he saw her looking at him with a lost
expression.

“What?... Erm... Actually I’m not that hungry yet.” Lin Wen Xin is actually starving but she really could
not bear to spend so much on the food.

Whatever... She could just hold on to her tummy for a while more and maybe meet Xiao Yu Meng for a
good hotpot meal later!

“Order two portions of everything!” Wang Shen Ze closed the menu as soon as he said that.

Lin Wen Xin almost fainted when she heard it.

“Two... two portions??”

A call suddenly came in right at that moment.

“Speak!” Wang Shen Ze ordered Yi Fan over the phone.

His expression became more and more unsightly as a layer of frost instantly appeared on his face.
