Chapter 53 - Give Me Another Chance

It was as if DT Holding’s employees were not suffering enough... The upper management team was
called to a meeting with Wang Shen Ze the next morning at 5am!

But is this even real?? They have actually been stuck in this meeting for close to 18 hours and only
managed to have a short 30 minutes break?

The directors and executives were clearly exhausted, but no one dared to leave the room until he has
released them.

Seems like none of them would be going home today...

Yi Fan looked at everyone’s worn out faces and felt that he should do something about this. But just
like the rest, he is also not in any position to advise Wang Shen Ze on what to do - unless he wish to
get sacked!

He suddenly thought of an idea and took out his phone in a discreet manner.

Over on the other side, Lin Wen Xin is currently firming up her ideas for the upcoming launch when a
new message came in.

She picked up her phone and was surprised to see that Yi Fan has dropped her a text - and even more
so at such a late hour.

[Sorry Madam, I didn’t mean to disturb you at this timing, but we really need you to come and save us.
We have been stuck in the meeting since 5am and none of us can hold on any longer. We can only rely
on you right now. Please... I’m begging you...]

Lin Wen Xin read the message and hesitated for a moment, before replying him with a heavy heart.



[I’m sorry Yi Fan... I really want to help but I don’t think it’s convenient for me to go down to DT
Holdings anymore.]

Yi Fan saw the message and instantly understood what she meant. But he still wanted to give his last
shot.

He typed a long message, sharing with her about how Wang Shen Ze had actually given up on many
important projects just to personally care for her at the hospital. And how he had many sleepless nights
when she went missing for that one year.

Yi Fan knew that Wang Shen Ze really loves Lin Wen Xin a lot - to the point that he would sacrifice
anything for her. And so Yi Fan genuinely hope that they could be back together again.

About 20 minutes later, there were two light knocks on the door.

“Come in!” Aside from the team who were curious about the person at the door, Wang Shen Ze had
also turned his head towards it.

Was this person not tired of living?? Who, in the right frame of mind, would want to come in and join
this torture with them?

Lin Wen Xin opened the door and when she entered the meeting room, everyone’s faces immediately
lit up. It was as though hope has finally arrived!

She looked at Wang Shen Ze before stepping forward, “Everyone has worked hard today, you all can
go back and rest. Have a good night.”

Seeing that Wang Shen Ze did not show any disapproval, the team stood up in a tactful manner and
bade farewell to them. The minute they stepped out of the room, the team is overjoyed as they quickly
rushed home.



Lin Wen Xin also nodded her head at Yi Fan, in which he hurriedly return with a respectful bow, before
leaving them alone.

Back in the office, Wang Shen Ze is ecstatic to see that Lin Wen Xin had come. He stood up and
walked towards her, “Xin, you came to look for me?”

She took a chair and sat down, “If I didn’t come now, will all of them be sleeping here with you tonight?”

Wang Shen Ze squatted down in front of Lin Wen Xin and held on to both of her hands, “Xin, does this
mean that you have forgiven me?”

Lin Wen Xin looked at his eyes that is filled with anticipation, “I have already forgiven you back then
when we met at the mall. It’s just that right now... I need some time to get over with this.”

“Then... does this mean that you will give me another chance??”

Sometimes, she really wondered how this guy’s brain is being wired... But since he had already said
this, she would just let it be. Anyway, after what Yi Fan shared with her, she realised that it might be
worth giving this marriage another try.

Wang Shen Ze saw Lin Wen Xin smiling at him, and immediately took her answer as a ‘yes’! He
excitedly threw her a big hug, and could not bear to let go.

“Where do you stay? I’ll fetch you home.” He asked as they walked towards the lift lobby.

Wang Shen Ze closed the car’s door for Lin Wen Xin before walking over to the driver’s seat. But just
before he opened the door, he felt a sudden wave of dizziness.

He closed his eyes for a moment to regain some focus before entering the car.



“Is there something wrong?” Lin Wen Xin saw that he had stood outside for a while, but could not see
what he was doing.

Wang Shen Ze smiled at her gently, “It’s nothing. Let’s go.”

When they have arrived at her house, his symptoms became worse as he started to have a throbbing
pain on one side of his head, on top of his dizzy spells.

However, Wang Shen Ze felt that it was nothing much and did not want to worry her by mentioning it.
He wanted to send Lin Wen Xin up, but given his current condition, he might not be able to do this
today.

“Thanks for the ride. Have a good rest tonight!” Lin Wen Xin said to him as she opened the car door.

Wang Shen Ze nodded his head, “Mmm goodnight. Call me when you reach home.”

Since he could not accompany her up, the least he could do is to wait downstairs until she gets home
safely.

The moment she closed the door, he took a few sips of water and immediately started rubbing both
sides of his temple to ease the pain.

Meanwhile, Lin Wen Xin is walking towards the lift lobby while searching her bag, “Oh, did I drop my
wallet in the car?”

She quickly walked back to the entrance and saw that his car is still parked there. Thankfully he has not
left yet!

“I’m sorry, I think I dropped...” She opened the door and saw Wang Shen Ze resting his head on the
steering wheel.



Lin Wen Xin rushed over to the other side, “Shen! You are not feeling well?!”

“Can you still walk on your own? I’ll bring you up to my house!” She asked him worriedly.
