"Well, Mrs. Green, I think I may leave now."

Cara was about to run out when Nicole stopped her.

"Why the hurry? Laurence doesn't bite. Well, is there something between you two that I know not of?

Seeing Cara's face lightened by a flush, Nicole moved back to this topic playfully.

"Mrs. Green, please!"

Cara felt so embarrassed.

'I thought Laurence was the only one who knows about it except me! How could Samuel and Mrs.
Green knew about it?'

'Besides, Samuel usually didn't gossip much. There is no way that he went to watch the CCTV merely
for a piece of gossip!'

'She was in her own room when doing the laundry?'

'Was there a surveillance camera in her room?'

Cara's face immediately turned pale with fear.

Looking at Cara, Samuel knew at once what she was thinking about. He smiled and said, "Don't worry,
I didn't have your room monitored. What I saw was the footage of the laundry. I only knew that
someone asked you to wash something."



Cara's face blushed again.

Laurence heard everything right outside the door, then he knocked on the door and said, "Mr. and Mrs.
Green, I don't think there will be any need for the CCTV in the laundry room."

He walked in as he spoke.

Nicole was going to burst out into laughter.

"Why? We should definitely have the laundry room monitored. What if some really bad people sneak in
and hide in the laundry room?"

Laurence said calmly, "Privacy is privacy."

"Privacy is only privacy because someone wants to hide something. But when you went to ask Cara to
do the laundry for you, apparently you weren't hiding it from anyone. And now you call that privacy?"

Samuel pursed his lips and looked at Laurence, clearly in a good mood.

Laurence threw a glance first at Samuel and then at Nicole, who was obviously in waiting for some
juicy gossips. Then he saw that Cara was about to cry and suddenly took a step forward and pulled
Cara over. He said, "Yareli wants you there."

"Well."

Laurence said calmly, "Didn't you want to play Cupid? Since you've shot a pair of arrows, then please
don't ever give me another shot."

Nicole immediately widened her eyes.

"Holy shit! I thought you had no feelings for Cara! Besides, even Cara agreed that you go to that blind
date. I've already settled everything! How can you break it!"

Laurence threw Nicole a glance yet didn't say anything, but the way Nicole saw it, he was interested.

Samuel coughed and said, "You are at liberty to love whoever you want, yet you must take your job
seriously."

"Sure thing."

"And by the way, since you are here, I've got something for you."

Samuel looked at Laurence and whispered, "You knew Nicole. Her physical condition, I mean. Her
pregnancy is a total accident that her body may not be able to withstand. I've learned that your blood
may be of help to her and her baby in the belly, so..."

"How much do you need?"

Laurence got him at once and asked before Samuel did.

A muscle at Nicole's corner twisted.

'That's blood! How could he just ask how much when he learned about it? Wouldn't that be too

"Laurence, do you know that there is something special about your blood?"

"So he knocked on the door only to find Cara? Didn't he come to make a work report?"

"What work do you need him to report? He was in charge of the security system of the Green's. If he
did need to report something, that 'something' won't be good."

Samuel reached out and scratched Nicole's nose and she frowned.

"What's wrong with you? You either hit my forehead or scratched my nose. Don't bully me just because
I'm pregnant. I'm telling you, if you do that to me again, I'll definitely bite you!"

"Then be my guest! It's not my first day to know you. You've nearly made a dog out of yourself!"

What Samuel said kind of pissed Nicole off.

"Come right here."

She put her hands on her hips and then pointed at Samuel angrily.



Samuel smiled and rolled his wheelchair towards her. Nicole crossed her arms around his neck and bit
him right on his neck.

Samuel felt a sting and was suddenly excited by her warm breath.

"Nicole, that's enough."

"No way!"

Nicole's hands started to fondle all around Samuel's body.

Samuel immediately felt that the fire was running all over his body, and he could hardly suppress it
anymore.

"Nicole, no fussing please."

"No!"

Nicole was enjoying herself and didn't notice that there was a subtle change in Samuel's eyes.

Samuel grabbed Nicole by her hand, pulled her in his arms, and then started to kiss her.

Nicole was stunned and then was nearly stifled by his fanatical kiss.

The whole room started to smell of hormones.

Cara left the room and just got to feel less embarrassed when the breeze blew.

She knew that Laurence had said that only in her defense.

She felt a bit touched and then smiled. She went downstairs and saw Yareli hurriedly heading over.

"How is it? Anything from Mrs. Green?"



"Nothing yet. Keep your mouth shut about what happened today. And most importantly don't tell
Laurence about it. Have you heard me, Yareli?"

Cara looked grim all of a sudden, which frightened her.

"Don't tell me about what?"

Laurence then walked down. His clear voice made Cara worried.

'That was way too fast!'

Yareli suddenly looked excited.

"Captain Kent."

She called him shyly while Laurence just ignored her as if he didn't see her at all. He came to Cara and
asked again, "Don't tell me about what?"

"Girls' issues. None of your business."

Cara was too embarrassed to raise her head.

Laurence smiled and suddenly reached out to pat Cara's head. He whispered, "Mrs. Green said that
you will be in charge of my meal from now on and thank you for the trouble you will be taking."

"No, no trouble at all."

Cara hurriedly stepped aside.

'Talk as you may, why the tap?'

'It would be hard to explain if someone else caught sight of it!'

"Are you available later?"
