Yasmeen hastily pinched Lucas, while the doubt in her eyes made Lucas laugh.

"You want them to come in and see me like this?"

Yasmeen looked at Lucas's firm pecs and subconsciously shook her head.

She didn't want anyone to see Lucas like this.

Lucas was hers!

Seeing Yasmeen shake her head, Lucas smiled and said, "Bring my clothes. There are in the
cupboard."

Joseph had gotten someone to buy Lucas some clothes earlier, otherwise, he wouldn't really be able to
handle it with the speed at which his wounds stuck to his clothes.

Yasmeen hurriedly went and found some clothes for Lucas to put on.

Lucas went out like that and opened the door to his room without fastening the buttons.

Outside were the man from the military district with his team. Seeing Lucas' pale face and taking a look
at his upper body, the man asked nervously, "Mr. Lucas, are you injured? Was it from being injured
earlier?"

"No. It was my father-in-law who hit me. It was a wedding expedition."

Lucas's comment made Yasmeen feel a little awkward.

The man, obviously not expecting Lucas to bring up something so shameless and with a smug look on
his face, froze in his tracks.



The others also looked at him with varying expressions.

Lucas was a celebrity in the military district and had become a god to many people because of the

your future sister-in-law."

With that, Lucas pushed Yasmeen to the front.

happy.

"Alright, go do what you need to do. I am fine."



Lucas knew that they were on a mission, so he didn't want to delay them for too long and simply spoke

Besides, why would Lucas need her to find clothes for him if those people were going to see it?

Yasmeen felt that she had never read Lucas before.

Lucas laughed, "You'll see later. Are you tired? Don't stress about the surgery. With your mum and my
brother around, the kidney is absolutely safe too. Trust me. It's okay, I promise."

"Okay."

Yasmeen was a bit reluctant about the operation earlier, but she knew Lucas was doing it for her own
good. She also wished she had more of the rest of her life to go with Lucas, so she agreed anyway.

Perhaps everyone was selfish when it came to love.

She wanted to live well. For Lucas's sake, and for the sake of a happy life ahead, she wanted to live
well.

The two of them were about to say something else when there was another knock on the door outside.
This time, Lucas was a little upset.

He went to answer the door, but Yasmeen stopped him.

"I'll go. You're wounded, so you should behave like a patient. Don't move around. Just sit there."

It feels good to be ruled by Yasmeen.

Lucas sat there with a gentle smile as Yasmeen went over to open the door.

"Is Lucas here?"

Yasmeen caught the meaning of Joseph's words and said quickly, "I'm going to go to my room. My
mother and my brother are probably worried about me."

"Yasmeen, you stay."

How could Lucas not see that Yasmeen was avoiding arousing suspicion?

But for him, there was nothing to avoid Yasmeen right now.



Seeing Lucas like this, Joseph understood his attitude and choice, then looked at Yasmeen and said,
"Yasmeen's operation may have to be postponed."

"What do you mean?"

Lucas' brow suddenly furrowed.

He found the kidney in the quickest time possible and then scheduled Yasmeen's surgery just so that
Yasmeen would have less post-operative rejection and ensure the success of the operation. Now that
Joseph suddenly said that the surgery was delayed, and he couldn't help but be worried.

"Has something happened?"

Joseph nodded with a grim face.

"Did you hear the gunshots earlier?"

"Yes."

Lucas walked over to Yasmeen and took her hand in his tightly.

She liked to ramble when she had nothing to do. She had only just agreed to undergo the operation,

Yasmeen wouldn't be so quick to agree.

Yasmeen's heart sank when she heard that the operation had been postponed, and she felt a little

She looked at Lucas and smiled lightly.



Lucas breathed a sigh of relief when he noticed that she was unaffected.

He whispered, "Someone came to the hospital to rob the kidney for Yasmeen and ran into the soldiers
on patrol when he escaped. They clashed and the person fired his gun and escaped with the kidney.
So now there's no kidney for Yasmeen's operation."

"Did the man just come for the kidney?"

Lucas's eyes suddenly deepened.

If it was just a terrorist, he could safely leave it to the men of the military district. After all, with so many
people around, it was as easy as pie to catch a terrorist.

He had only had a chance to spend some time with Yasmeen and did not want to disturb their sweet
atmosphere with other things, but he had not expected that the man had come for the kidney.

He had found Yasmeen the kidney, which was almost equivalent to the rest of Yasmeen's life. And
