Are You with Gloria?

“We are fine.” Jordy’s tone was softer than when he spoke to Gloria,

Gloria raised her eyebrows and continued eating.

Instead of feeling sad, she felt somewhat amused.

How fortunate was she to hear such an intimate conversation between her ex-husband and
elder sister?

They were talking on the phone, and she was sitting across from her ex-husband listening to them.

Should she call herself a shameless mistress?

On the other end of the call, Angel heaved a sigh of relief all of a sudden and said, “You scared the hell
out of me. I was worried that you might get hurt. What happened to Gloria, why would she fall into the
water?”

Jordy narrowed his eyes as he glanced up at Gloria, who bowed her head down and focused on eating

Jordy’s eyes went even darker as he said calmly, “She’s just stupid.”

Gloria’s clasped the fork tightly.

Did he expect Angela to be worried about her?

“Er…. Gloria tended to be prudent. But well, it could be an accident. Jordy, thank you for saving her life.
Gloria can’t swim. God knows what would happen to her if…”

Angela stopped talking suddenly as if she found it hard to put the words out.



Gloria lowered her eyes and wondered what she meant by saying she could not swim.

Seeing that Gloria did not seem to care at all, Jordy looked ever unhappier. “She is just such a pain in
the ass,” he continued in a tender voice.

Gloria tossed her head and stared at him without saying a word. Could he be any meaner?

Angela sighed helplessly, “Jordy, I know that you still care about her although you usually act like you
don’t. Although you guys have got divorced, your friendship is still there. You have every reason to
save her. Don’t worry, I am not saddened. On the contrary, I feel grateful for what you did. Jordy, thank
you.”

It now sounded like Jordy had saved Gloria all because of Angela.

Gloria pursed her lips. It seemed Angela had moved on to a new stage.

In the past, she pretended to be the most selfless girl who would be the last person in the world to be
the third woman in a relationship.

But now she had become his girlfriend. Her role also changed accordingly. She tried to be a tolerating
and understanding woman who would not mind even if Jordy was having an affair with other women.

Gloria could no longer hold her laughter back anymore.

She was such a generous woman.

Jordy’s face went even darker.

Angela pricked up her ears, waiting for Jordy’s response. But what she heard were giggles of Gloria.
They might be faint but were still loud enough for Angela to tell.



Angela’s reason told her to pretend that she did not hear it but she could not helpit. “Jordy, are you with
Gloria?” asked Angela in a whisper.

Jordy replied coolly, “Nope.”

“Oh?”

Angela was full of suspicion. Did she hear that wrong? But, she could almost be sure that she heard
Gloria’s laughter of mockery!

Jordy cast Gloria a look of threat and continued, “I am having dinner. Take care of yourself and don’t
worry about those useless people.”

Gloria rolled her eyes to air her silent disapproval.

The doubt haunting Angela did not get dispelled. She made up her mind secretly that she would have
her men look into it.

She took a breath and pretended to buy his words. She smiled at Jordy, saying, “Well, Bon appetite. I
will talk to you later.”

“Sure.” Jordy’ voice seemed softer than it had just been, but… his eyes seemed more sinister when he
saw Gloria’s indifference.
