You’re Still Gonna Work with Him?

Gloria and Jonathan both looked to the door.

“Come on in,” beckoned Jonathan.

A waiter opened the door and came in with bottles of red wine.

Jonathan smiled and said, “I ordered them especially for you. They taste good, but you didn’t even take
a sip. Are you afraid that I might drug you?”

Gloria withdrew her gaze and replied calmly, “I was just afraid that drinking might be a distraction

for our business talk.”

Jonathan looked intrigued. “Even wine?”

A figure seized his attention at the moment.

Gloria, who had her back turned to the door, clearly sensed that something was off too.

Her body stiffened uncontrollably but, as if she had noticed nothing, she raised her hand and picked up
the goblet.

The back of the chair was unable to cover her figure.

Jordy obviously recognized her.

A burst of footsteps sounded behind her.

Gloria’s heart thumped in her chest.



Jonathan looked at him with a half-smile and asked, “Mr. Collins, are you done with the business talk
with your partners?”

Jordy walked over to Gloria and stopped by her side.

He ignored Jonathan completely. His cold eyes were fixed on Gloria’s face.

Gloria looked up to stare back into his sinister eyes. Her heart missed a beat.

She might as well have just gone out. Maybe she might not even run into him if lucky.

How unfortunate it was to be seen by him in such a short period of time when the waiter served the
wine,

Jordy sniffed coldly at her, “Even with only half a day off, you have made good use of every single
minute you got, haven’t you?”

The sarcasm sounded so harsh like a knife thrusting into Gloria’s heart.

She looked calmly at him and asked. “Mr. Collins, what can I do for you? Since it is half a day off for
me, I think it is the time fully at my own disposal?”

Jordy’s thin lips pressed tight, the veins on the back of his hands throbbing.

“Very good.”

Jonathan smacked his lip and scrutinized Jordy’s expression, asking, “Is Mr. Collins going to have a
drink with us?” he asked.

“I am here to take her home,” his voice could not be any colder.

The tension in the room continued to mount.



Before Gloria could think straightly, Jordy gripped her wrist and gave her a forceful tug.

“Jordy Collins, you let go of my hand!” Gloria struggled.

Jonathan remained seated and unmoved.

Since he and Gloria had reached a consensus on their cooperation, he had time to get Gloria back
to him.

Just like that, Gloria left with Jordy.

“Jordy Collins, you let me go!”

Gloria was now enveloped by the sullenness of Jordy. What was wrong with the man?

Soon after, she was thrown directly into the back seat of his car by Jordy.

Gloria frowned at him and remained silent.

Jordy sneered and asked, “Gloria White, you are very impressive. Don’t you know that he is my biggest
rival?!”

“I don’t care. He is a cooperative partner to me just as you are.”

“You’re going to work with him?!” Jordy growled. His sinister gaze sent a shiver down Gloria’s spine.

For the first time, she felt the strong dominance of Jordy.

Gloria took a deep breath and said softly, “Jordy Collins, calm down. Let’s talk about it.”
