Rich and Stupid

People somehow admired her for her courage.

Some sneered in their hearts. She is talented, so what? Does she think Mr. Collins would care about
that?

Without a word, Jordy stared at Gloria. No emotions could be seen in their eyes.

The crowd started to feel like receding into the background, and the two people were no longer
approachable.

Some people even feared that he‘d vent his spleen at them.

While they were brooding, Jordy turned to the crowd and asked with a poker face, “You heard her.”

Everyone was stunned, thinking it was a hallucination.

They soon snapped back to reality. So, Mr. Collins agreed with Gloria‘s approach? My goodness! How
is that possible?

Darren was the last one to figure out the situation. His heart was trembling.How come Mr. Collins acts
like this?

Jordy arched his bushy brow. His voice was icy cold. “You heard her?”

His eyes fell on Darren‘s face.

Darren shook and nodded in a hurry. “Yeah, I did.”



His authority was bruised, and a cold sweat broke out on his back. He was afraid of getting fired in the
next second

Working as the deputy director of Human Resources, he was admired by a lot of people and fawned
upon by his relatives and friends. They all hoped to gain his favor.

He couldn‘t imagine the life after he was fired. It would be a nosedive.

Looking to Darren like the bellwether, the others no longer dared to make any comment.

They behaved and even echoed, “We did.”

Jordy turned back to Gloria and said, “I‘ll leave everything to you. What you said is true. I am rich and
stupid.”

Gloria was stunned, wondering how much he had overheard her speech.

The others wondered if this was a display of affection.What is going on between them?

Noticing their strange gaze, Gloria got up and said, ‘This is it for today‘s meeting. Get things ready as I
said and meet me here at the same time tomorrow.”

She grabbed her laptop from the desk and strode away without another look at Jordy.

People wondered if she had been bummed out.

Did she leave Mr. Collins behind because his attitude had embarrassed her?

Or she could ignore the man and does whatever she wants.

This was different from what they had seen on TV.



Miss White had pleased Mr. Collins in every way. She had been gentle and glued to him.

And now?

Although they were still in the same world, they seemed to be clashing.
