Don’t Try to Deny It

Gloria frowned slightly and sneered.

Jordy is a really good actor

Gloria didn’t speak her mind out. Nydia seemed to guess what was in her mind and said, “But only
George and I were there. Jordy didn’t have to pretend anything. He could have just pretended not to
know you were gone and gone out to work as usual. It didn’t matter to him where you were.”

Gloria pressed her lips together, refusing to talk about it anymore. She said quietly, “Forget it. He can
do whatever he wants. I don’t want to be a part of anything. I just hope he’ll never control me anymore.
It doesn’t matter to me what he does as long as he can leave me alone.”

Gloria was all by herself, and there was no one Jordy could use to threaten her. Besides, she knew he
was not that kind of person. He was overbearing and bigoted, but he was a good man.

Gloria didn’t want to dwell upon it and said calmly, “The whole thing has nothing to do with me. They
will not be going away for a while. Go get some sleep. You probably didn’t sleep well last night.”

Nydia nodded quickly. “Okay, I’ll go get some sleep.”

After that, Nydia didn’t say another word

Gloria was lying down on her bed. She didn’t bother to check on Jordy.

George saw Jordy still standing in the living room with a sullen face.

George walked up to Jordy and whispered, “Why didn’t you tell her you were worried about her? Look
at you now



Jordy’s face turned graver. He remained silent and wanted to leave, but he chose to stay. He went to
the couch and sat down.

George looked at him and said with a sigh, “We saw your worried face this morning. Why did you hide
it from her?”

Jordy looked at him coldly. “I told you…”

Before Jordy could finish his sentence, George threw up his hands resignedly. “There, there… You can
do what you like. Stay here, and I’ll cook some spaghetti. I’m hungry too.”

With that, George went into the kitchen.

Jordy was left sitting there. Nydia and Gloria were both in bed, and neither of them wanted to get
downstairs.

Not long after, a delicious smell of food was waiting from the kitchen.

George came out with two plates of spaghetti.

He looked at Jordy and said, “Come on, let’s eat.”

Jordy didn’t say anything but got up and headed for the bathroom. After washing his hands, he came
out and sat at the table.

Jordy wouldn’t be seeing Gloria soon. He hadn’t eaten all day. He was hungry now.

George sat across from Jordy and watched him eating slowly with a fork. After thinking about it, George
said, “How long are you going to keep this up?”

Jordy looked at George coldly and didn’t say a word.



Obviously, Jordy didn’t want to talk about it.

George, who was not expecting an answer, picked up his fork and said, “If you like her, let her know. In
the simplest way. Be blunt. Gloria doesn’t know what you think, but as your friend, I do. I can tell that
you care about her.”
