Chapter 454

Drunk Driving?!

“Gloria, the choice is yours. We both want you. Who would you choose?” Jonathan smiled widely. His
gaze became unprecedentedly meaningful.

Gloria responded with a smirk and said, “Mr. Brown, you know my answer.”

Jonathan smiled and pursued, “I just want to hear you say it again, just like…”

He suddenly leaned closer to her, his voice soft. “Just like what you said when you turn down that
man‘s courtship over the call.”

Gloria flinched backward somewhat uncomfortably.

She turned her eyes to see the lights in Angela‘s car being turned off and then the car pulled out.
“They‘re gone,” she said. “I should go back too.”

“I‘ll give you a ride.”

When Gloria saw that their car was gone out of sight, she opened the door and said softly, “Thank you,
but my car is right there.”

“I‘ll pick you up at work tomorrow at noon,” said Jonathan, watching her leave and remaining seated.

Gloria paused and turned her eyes back to him helplessly. “Mr. Brown, can you be more dramatic?”

The smile in Jonathan‘s eyes was even wilder as he made eyes at her, “You like it sensational, don‘t
you, Gloria? You shall have it tomorrow at noon.”

Gloria was a bit shocked. Afraid that Jonathan would do something crazy, she said in a tone of
begging, “Please, be reasonable and don‘t even come tomorrow! Bye!”



Gloria did not want to say another word to Jonathan. She quickly walked to her car, started the engine
and sped away.

She had left without a pause.

Jonathan squinted his eyes and felt surprised by her smooth driving skills. Rare women drove the car
as well as she did.She was full of surprises

Jonathan couldn‘t help but let out a sigh, wondering how long it would take to get the woman.

It was past nine when Gloria got home, but…

Before she could change out of her high heels, her phone rang again.

Jennifer Thomas?

Gloria put it through. “Jennifer?”

“Bryson had a car accident!”

Gloria‘s face turned pale and her pupils shrank at what she heard. “Where is he?” asked Gloria.

“In the Central Hospital, come here now!” Jennifer sounded worried and some what angry.

Gloria looked pale. Was it because of what she said to him earlier over the phone?

Without a second thought, she rushed out.She hit the accelerator and arrived at the hospital soon
enough.

By calling Jennifer again, she knew which ward he was in.

In the hallway outside the ICU, Jennifer and several other young men were waiting.



She could tell they were friends who had been drinking with Bryson.

Gloria stepped up to meet Jennifer and asked, “What the heck is going on?”

A burst of steps in the corridor seized everyone‘s attention suddenly. They turned around just to see
Nydia storming toward them and panting. “What happened!? Why would Bryson get into a car
accident!” she asked nervously.

Gloria looked a bit awkward!

“He was driving?!”

Drunk driving?!

Someone corrected her by saying, “No, he didn‘t drive. He was walking and was hit by a car.”

Gloria opened her mouth and did not know what to say.

But the next moment, Jennifer suddenly grabbed Gloria‘s right wrist in a fit of anger.
