It’s Fate

Carlos smiled. Since George didn’t believe it, there was no point in trying to convince him.

Jordy frowned. Carlos’ words were like a thorn in his flesh. Jordy was still pondering over it.

“Think about it. Look at Jordy. You were him like before.”

Jordy could see how George’s feelings for Nydia changed each time he made fun of her.

What about me?

Does my attitude towards Gloria change…?

Jordy’s face hardened at this thought. He sneered at what he read on Twitter. How could he possibly
fall in love with that woman?

She made Jonathan and Bryson look like fools.

Jordy would never fall in love with her.

Gloria was going home after her dinner with Jonathan. As much as she wanted to go to Corey right
now, she had to give him a heads-up and check up on what had happened before. She was afraid
Corey would not tell her, so she had to do some research.

Just after Gloria turned on her laptop, her phone rang.

She was a little tense, fearing that it would be Bryson again. She was slightly relieved to see that it was
Jennifer,

Jennifer?”



“Gloria, you’re a trending topic again.” Jennifer’s voice was laced with

concern.

Gloria’s face changed. “Again?”

Gloria clicked on her Twitter feed. Her face clouded over with shock when she saw the video of her and
Jonathan making out together. “The camera was angled. Our lips didn’t even touch.”

“I know… but people say you’re two-timing Jordy with Jonathan. It’s all over Twitter. I’m worried that
Bryson…”

Gloria pressed her lips together. “Bryson called me after he saw Jordy and me on Twitter, but I didn’t
explain anything to him. I just said I would not allow any accidents to happen on my way to get
revenge, and that I would remove all the barriers, including him.”

Jennifer was shocked. “Oh my. You said that.”

“I had to say that in case he would not be too shocked when that day came. Maybe… the Twitter thing
is not so bad for him. He may find it easier to let go when he finds out I’m a faithless woman.”

Jennifer sighed, “We have known each other since childhood and have been friends for so many years.
Gloria, how could he think of you as a woman who loves to play the field? He will understand the
reason behind this. I am afraid he will love you more and even want to protect you all the time…”

Gloria’s face changed, and for a moment she didn’t know what to say. Mingled feelings surfaced under
her eyes.

Jennifer held her phone and paused for a moment before whispering, “I’mon my way to him right now.
I’ll go check on him.”



“Thanks…” Gloria felt a growing sense of guilt inside her. She was responsible for this, but her friends
would like to give her a hand all the time.

“Don’t thank me. We can’t decide who we love. Bryson can’t forget about you, and I still can’t get over
him even though I know he loves you so much. No one should be to blame. It’s just a strange twist of
fate.”
