Rachel was overthinking it. That could not happen.

Harold shook his head. “I’m sorry. Mr. Collins isn’t available today… Why don’t you reschedule the
appointment with him?”

Normally, it was Harold’s duty to reschedule appointments, not Rachel’s. Rachel was special. She
worked with Jordy many times, so Harold discussed the details with her very often. And they decided
things together. But today, something important came up all of a sudden.

When Harold learned that Gloria was coming to Jordy, he knew Rachel wouldn’t be seeing him today.

Rachel was silent.

important happen? How can I help with that?”

impression on him.

“Okay, I’ll reschedule the appointment with him.” Rachel gave in.

Harold nodded and said gratefully, “I’m very sorry about today, Miss Roberts.”

“I understand. It’s an emergency. I’ll see him another day.” Rachel was very understanding. After a she
added with a smile, “I’m going back then.” pause,

“I’ll see you off.”

“No need, I’ll just go down myself.” Rachel turned to leave. “You can go back to your work.”

Harold smiled, “Goodbye, Miss Roberts.”

“Bye.”

Harold didn’t see her off.

Rachel entered the elevator, and soon, she was on the ground floor. Two girls walked past her. She
heard them talking and stopped, though she was unaware of doing so.

“Do you think Mr. Collins and Gloria will get remarried?” With their backs to Rachel, the girls. didn’t look
in the direction of the elevator, so they didn’t even notice her. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have discussed
it in front of her.



One girl finished, and the other girl said, “Yes, I do. After all, they’re so close. I just saw Gloria stop by. I
think she was going to Mr. Collins’ office.”

The girl with big eyes said in wide-eyed amazement, “What? Gloria is here?”

“Yeah, people are talking about her. How come you don’t know? Gloria used Mr. Collins’s elevator.”
