Pleasant Ringtone

Gloria smiled at the person who came over, “Ms. Hayes, what a small world!”

This is what Kristina said to her last time.

Kristina sized Gloria up. Compared with before, her gaze softened a lot. With a calm look, she asked,
“Care for a meal?”

Gloria smiled with her eyes. “Sure.”

She locked the car and went outside with Kristina,

Before long, they entered a box

“What would you like to eat?” Kristina handed her the menu.

Gloria replied, “Anything will be fine. I‘m picky about food. Please excuse me for a moment and go
ahead ordering your dishes.”

There was a restroom in the box.

Kristina ordered her dishes without further ado.

In fact, to have dinner together was just a pretext. It was business they were about to discuss.

Gloria removed her mask and tore off the fake ulcers before a comely face was revealed.

The waitress went out, leaving the two women in the room.

Kristina eyed Gloria and asked in surprise, “How did you do that?”



She had thought they would be in great trouble today.

To her surprise, her son was unharmed.

Corey promised that he would stop causing trouble to her son but warned her against messing with him
again.

Instead of giving a direct answer, Gloria laughed and said, “It‘s just a favor.”

Kristina wrinkled her brows before producing a contract. “We‘ll sign it.”

Gloria smiled and said, “Great.”

Kristina observed her expression and said, “You‘re not surprised.”

Still smiling, Gloria said with ease, “I know about your character.”

Kristina froze before staring at her. “‘The first time I saw you, I could tell that you‘re a shrewd but
disagreeable woman.”

Gloria snickered and asked, “What about now?”

“Sort of reliable,” Kristina replied in a nonchalant tone.

Gloria‘s smile deepened. “You‘ll see me as a faithful friend one day. Time will tell.”

Kristina pursed her lips but said nothing.

Gloria took the contract from Kristina‘s hand and skimmed it through.

Cocking her brows, Kristina said, “No one will play tricks on an expert.”

Gloria laughed, “Force of habit.”



The contract was fine, and she signed it.

“There will be experts for the follow–ups. Ms. Hayes, wish our cooperation success!”

The subsequent work was not her duty.

Kristina bowed her head. “I wish I could work with you. I like your proposal very much.”

After signing the contract, Kristina was not sparing with her praise. It was her character to be
straightforward.

After a while, she had another look at Gloria and said, “Thank you for your help. If you need anything,
you can always come to me. I‘ll do everything within my power to help.”

Gloria smiled and said, “It‘s rare that you owe anyone a favor. I‘ll cherish it.”

A grin was Kristina‘s only response.

Before long, the waitress served the dishes.

After she went out, Kristina said, “Let‘s dig in. The food in this restaurant is hygienic and distinctive. If
you don‘t like them, we can order something else.”

“It‘s alright. These are fine.”

As soon as her voice died away, the pleasant ringtone of the phone reached their ears.
