Gloria stared at Jordy with her mouth wide open as if she was looking at a madman.

After a moment of futile struggles, Gloria gave up. She looked at him incredulously and asked, “What
the hell is wrong with you?”

During the marriage, she got hurt sometimes. But his reaction after seeing that was turn a cold
shoulder on her

Why would he want to apply the ointment for her personally this time? Her ankles hurt simply because
of the uncomfortable high heels.

Gloria found this man unpredictable and weird.

He was such a weirdo…

Gloria’s words fell on deaf ears. Jordy opened the box of the ointment and carefully applied it to her
ankles.

Gloria was so shocked that she could not think of anything to say.

The cool touch of the ointment and the softness of his fingers made Gloria get goosebumps all over her
body

Gloria did not recover until he had finished one foot. She reached out to take the ointment from him and
said, “You are flattering me, Mr. Collins. I’ll do it myself.”

Jordy gave her a cold look and, without speaking, forcibly lifted her other leg and repeated the same



steps.

By the time her both feet were finished applying the ointment, Gloria still felt like she was dreaming.

Why would he do this for her today?

If he was to put up a show in front of his grandma, it didn’t seem to have any practical effects as there
was no surveillance camera in the room and his grandma was not even there. Besides, her legs were
just swollen and red. There was nothing serious about them.

What the hell is he doing?

Gloria hastily retracted her legs, and Jordy remained seated on the couch. His terrible mood was
manifested in his gloomy expression.

Gloria coughed and put her shoes back on. With a cheesy smile, she said, “Thank you, Mr.
Collins. I am going back to my room. You should get some rest, too.”

Jordy looked coldly at Gloria and asked, “Gloria, how can you be so heartless?” “Excuse me?” Gloria
was in bewilderment.

Jordy got up expressionlessly. And, without another word to Gloria, he strode into the room. Gloria had
no idea what had she done to provoke him again.

He accused me of being heartless after everything I have done for him over the past years.

He was such a weirdo.

Gloria felt lost even when she lay on the bed.

What Jordy did made Gloria feel confused instead of feeling touched.



Why would someone like Jordy apply ointment on her personally?

What the hell was wrong with him?

Perhaps due to the effect of the ointment, Gloria slept soundly that night.

She got up and washed up as usual the next morning, getting ready to go out with Jordy.

But when she came out to the living room, it was eerily quiet. Is Jordy still sleeping? Or Does he leave?
She wondered.

A moment later, there was a knock on the door. “Miss White, it’s me.”

Gloria went to answer the door. It was Harold who came serving her breakfast. He smiled at her and
said, “Good morning, Miss White. Mr. Collins has something to do this morning. He asked me to
prepare breakfast for you and said that you could have half a day off this morning.” Gloria pouted her
lips and replied, “Thank you.”

Harold examined the expression of Gloria in surprise before leaving.

He gave her a tacit nod and left.

What he didn’t know was that Gloria didn’t buy the words about Jordy asking him to prepare breakfast
for her at all. She knew it was just Harold being a good assistant.

After finishing her breakfast, Gloria turned on the computer.

Since Jordy was going to give her a break, she could get on with her own business.
