Noble and Reserved

She stopped halfway through her speech. She looked tom, hesitant, and daunted. Her expression gave
away her mixed feelings.

The other secretaries were intrigued.

“What is it? Go ahead.”

With a pile of documents in her arms, she raised her right hand to tuck a few strands of hair behind her
ear and bumbled, “I might have seen… something sensational.”

Her behavior was mysterious, and her words invited gossip. “What is it?”

A male secretary in the office laughed, “Sensational things are juicy.”

“Tell us about it. We’re colleagues and friends. No one will rat you out.” A younger female secretary
urged her

It was hard to keep the secret anyway.

The listeners had no pressure.

It was not them who spread it anyway

More and more people joined in to urge her.

The female secretary itched to tell them and thus soon gave way to their persuasion.

“I just passed by Mr. Collins’ office and saw Miss White Her face was pale, and her clothes were
wrinkled. The door was open, and i saw Mr. Collins’ tie had been torn off. The look on his face and in



his eyes was terrifying ”

The others filled in the rest of the scene with imagination. The amazement in their eyes was getting
more intense.

“Holy smokes, does Miss White still have feelings for Mr. Collins? Now that she’s around him, she gets
physical_”

The corner of the male secretary’s mouth twitched. “Whom are you kidding? It’s obvious that Gloria
doesn’t want to get close to Mr. Collins.”

“I used to think the same way, but how do you explain that situation?”

“What if it was Mr. Collins who made a move on Miss White?”

A female secretary shook her head. “That’s impossible. Mr. Collins is noble and reserved…”

Another secretary interposed with a helpless look, “Come on!”

The speaker was stunned.

She was stating a fact

“We know how much you admire Mr. Collins, but given the situation, don’t you think he is more active?
Regarding what happened downstairs earlier, don’t you know the answer?”

“No, I don’t think Mr. Collins would do such a thing. He defended Miss White just for the sake of his
mother. Miss White hasn’t got over him and wants to stick around. His tie was torn off. He was annoyed
and kicked her out.”



The female secretary spoke with assurance and emotions. She wouldn’t allow anyone to speak ill of
their boss.

Some people agreed with her, but others retorted.

“Keep this in our office and do not spread. Mr. Collins doesn’t like gossip. Be aware of his punishment.”

The others made no comments. That was the right thing to do.

Then they couldn’t help but discuss it again.

One of the parties involved had returned to her office.

She noticed her wrinkled clothes and changed into a set of spare ones.
