Flat Refusal

“If you‘re not in charge, the deal is off.”

The crowd was stunned.

Claude‘s underlings were frustrated.

In contrast, Gloria‘s supporters were smiling.

This was not surprising since she had informed Jonathan in advance.

She declined again, “But I‘m not qualified. There is a high chance of failure.”

“The proposal came from you, and that makes you more capable than anyone else. My princess, have
faith in yourself. Have you reported it to your company?”

As Gloria remained silent, Jonathan continued, “Share my thoughts with the executives of your

Claude was petrified.

He had wanted to grab the phone and do the talking himself. To his dismay, Jonathan made such a

The man would not consider his reputation.

Gloria glanced at everyone and shrugged.



Then she tried persuading Jonathan one last time. “Mr. Brown, you should think twice. I‘m a newcomer
after all.”

Jonathan chuckled, “In my mind, even the most experienced worker can‘t come up with such a perfect
proposal.”

The crowd couldn‘t argue with that.

He had a point.

They were also astonished by her proposal.

Besides, this offer was given by Jonathan. This man was their client who had the final say.

The White Group had no right to change the program manager.

It was Gloria who brought them the deal in the first place

“Anything else? Duty calls.”

“Nope,” Gloria replied.

“Well, let‘s have dinner together.”

The crowd hadn‘t expected that.

The crowd was blown away.

That was a flat refusal.

Angela stared at Gloria. Jealousy was gnawing at her.



Jonathan chuckled and stopped teasing her. “Another time then, bye.“He knew that Gloria had put the
speaker on.

He just wanted to let everyone know about their relationship.

“Bye.”

The phone call then ended.

Once Gloria stopped talking, the conference room was quiet as the grave.

No one rushed to speak, but their expressions were different.

Ted and his friends were in a good mood.

Although some of them were not Gloria‘s supporters, they were glad to see Claude and his men
frustrated

After a while, Ted said with a grin, “Mr. Brown is indeed adamant. Do you still think it‘s wise to replace
Gloria?”

Under the table, Angela‘s fists clenched, but she couldn‘t say a word.

Oliver also smiled. “That‘s right. It looks like Mr. Brown will work with us only through Miss White who is
outstanding. Even if she only had a smattering of knowledge, so what? A shrewd man like Mr. Brown
would never do losing business.”

The room fell into silence once again.

After some time, Claude stated, “About this matter, we should figure out something. Let‘s not reply to
Mr. Brown for now. In three days, we‘ll have another meeting to discuss it.”
